I probably knew this before but I was amazed and a bit shocked.

I was searching for how much I paid for something in NZD (that was bought in USD, I didn't know when it was charged, as it was a massdrop thing) ... typed in 'massdrop' into iOS gmail app

ANd my credit card email appeared. Surely not! I thought. Opened the attachment and there it was.

Maybe could turn this into a google hack thread?

If you use the Google assistant etc on an Android phone you'll start seeing cards for bill reminders where it extracts the total amount to be paid with a due date from the PDF.

Or even school newsletters where it reminds you of dates for events within the newsletter.

It also trawls emails for flight bookings and accommodation bookings and puts them in your calendar.
Gives you a WTF moment the first time you realise what has happened - but useful I guess.

Last month I emailed a couple of invoices to clients as PDFs and Google added them to my calendar as bills that I had to pay. They've still got a bit of work to do with this...

Nice, if slightly stalkerish idea.

But I went through and disabled everything and it kept reminding me about a bill to pay from 3 months ago.  I think it's finally got rid of it, but it didn't seem to have any way to dismiss things permanently.
