The venue we had sorted for taking my Daughter for her 6th Birthday family dinner has had an issue in the kitchen and called us to say they can't take us tomorrow night.

We don't spend a lot of time in super kid friendly restaurants and struggling to come up with something decent on less than 24 hours notice.

Anyone got a recommendation other than McD's ? We don't need them to make a big fuss or setup in any way, we just want the kids of food that kids love (and hopefully adults too) and a bit of a fun environment.

Prefer the city side to the shore side, we are central.

Did consider Fortuna because then she can just eat dessert if she wants, but haven't been there for a while, not sure if the food is still ok.

Recommendations please?

Denny's?

Family friendly range. Relaxed about young kids and possible mess. Have been hit and miss over the years tho?

Right opposite sky tower, so very central city.

The CBD Dennys was awful the times I visited, was a number of years ago now so hopefully theyve changed things.....

Does it have to be a restaurant ? Whats about some deep fried stuff at a bowling alley and play a couple of games ? :)
