So it appears I've lost my wallet, containing my license, library card, various membership cards.

No money thankfully. If there was money, I had the wrong wallet to start with.

Figured "how hard can it be these days to request new cards etc online".

Impossible so far.

Countdown : Fail. Got to goto a store and request new card but will request my card number to do so - I don't have my card number. So try to login online - cant remember password - request new password. Asks for card #

Flybuys is easy. Under your profile, on the right it shows your own card/s, and under the card it says 'get a replacement'. Worked for me, anyway.

Well thats the thing, its showing me 3, but when I go to select mine, its not present but this "anonymous" one is.

Not too bothered about it as its rare I go anywhere that uses FlyBuys :)

I found that I can put flybuys number in when ordering at work from blackwoods, so do that and get a few points on packaging and safety things that work buys.

Forget the Flybuys card, and anything else that only uses a barcode, and stick with Stocard (etc) if you already have it. It's all I use anyway, as my Minimo wallet doesn't hold anything unnecessary. I still have the cards in a drawer in case I need to re-scan them for any reason.

A while ago I thought it would be handy to use something like Stocard to store all my cards, especially my library card which I always seem to leave in the car glovebox. I mentioned it to a librarian and she said it wouldn't work on their machines as they use lasers to read the bar code and a laser won't work on a screen. This got me wondering how many places use laser scanners as opposed to photo scanners (probably the wrong terms, but you get the idea). What has been your experience?

Also seems that this system won't work at Countdown, who want you to swipe your card.

Yeah a lot of scanners wont accept phones which is frustrating considering how many cards you end up wandering around with making your pocket/wallet bulge :)

Started the process of replacing my cards........   ANZ win so far. Its costing me $10, but I can log into the app on my phone, and tell it Ive lost my card and away it goes. $38 to get new license - there goes my lunch money for the month ;)

If the scanner doesn't work, it seems many systems allow manual input of the card number. If that fails, or if the operator isn't willing to do this, it's no biggie as it's usually only a few loyalty points, and of course not affecting payment.

The AA/Countdown card will fail being scanned at Countdown, as the bar code is for the AA number and the Onecard details are on the mag strip.

Someone should really tell Progressive to talk to Woolworths about upgrades - Woolworths Rewards is now available in Apple Wallet, you just tap your phone to apply your loyalty card to your purchase.
