Ok so this is seemingly the only page on the internet with information relevant to my problem, and I'm pretty desperate by this point so here we go.

2 packages that came from DPD from Amazon. 2 weeks to get here from the US. Then a week ago both of them vanished. One gives me "Out for delivery" and has been for over a week. The other gives me a delay message every single day on the Amazon tracking.

I've gone out of my way to find out where my packages are and have pretty extensively contacted Fastway but they can't seem to find it because they put a new tracking sticker over the DPD one. I even tried contacting other regions to see if it was delivered to the right street name but wrong city. Nothing.

Has anyone had any luck with this?

I've tried at this point, but not even they seem to be able to get in contact with the shipping company.

I could just file a refund but honestly getting the package is much more important than the money right now to be completely honest.

Well at the end of the day if no one can locate it what are  your options but a refund.  Amazon are really good with that sort of stuff.

This shipping with DPD has really put me off ordering with Amazon.  I got a delay message on the last one, but it turned up the following day.

I've found DPD reliable and quick. Goods have always arrived more than a week earlier than the ETA.   DPD tracking is terrible (basic updates via amazon website) but I don't really care since the delivery is always quite quick .

Whenever I had had issues in the past with amazon delivery, it has always been at the New Zealand end.

Same thing happened to my packages. It said out for delivery and then couldn't find my address. I confirmed that my address is correct. Then I contacted DPD and they said that they do not have a tracking address with Amazon for me and to double check with Amazon. I waited another week for when my package was scheduled to be delivered and still got a carrier delay message and contacted Amazon and they couldn't track down where the package was. The packages are pretty much lost and they had to refund my money.

On the other hand, I today got a package from Amazon via DPD, 6 days earlier than Amazon expected.  This keeps happening!

Okay so I had one of my parcels found, the driver was courteous enough to call my number.

Apparently the wrong city got written on my parcel (although I checked my shipping address and it was correct).

That was my 5$ parcel though, the triple digit one is still missing. Hoping for a miracle here.

Did you ever get the package? I'm having problems with DPD /Amazon too- items saying they were "delivered yesterday" and "delivered today" and definitely weren't!

DPD damaged a package in transit recently, Amazon had to replace it. The packages that aren't damaged usually show up 3-5 days before the Amazon delivery estimate.

@FineWine your post messed up formatting. You should probably recreate as plain text.

I got Brother compatible tape from ebay for much much less. It seems almost as good as genuine.

TechnoGuy001:

FYI, anyone wanting to track GWUI packages being shipped to here from Amazon.

Add the tracking code Amazing gives to your NZPost tracking page (https://www.nzpost.co.nz/tools/tracking), and once it hits NZ you'll it get updated.

It appears on NZPost after I get the 2nd in a row "Completed customs clearance process" message from Amazon for me.

Not sure if this is useful

I use the Youshop facility for sending stuff and the NZ Post tracking. Sometimes the tracking number doesnt resolve for a while - I understand that this is because the parcel hasnt yet been assigned a NZ tracking number (it starts with NZ).

I am not exactly sure when the NZ number gets assigned - I have two parcels arriving from the US that got the number after I paid for delivery via Youshop, but not so long ago I had a parcel from South Korea that didnt get the number until it arrived in NZ (I think I had to use the fedex number instead via the fedex site).

In the NZ Post app, when I expand the parcel being tracked, it also has the US tracking number as well.

No, its long gone. And heres what Ive learnt.

DPD arrives through Fastway but fastway doesn't put the DPD Id into their database. In my case they sent it to the wrong zip code and its as good as gone now.

But to make matters worse, Fastway (in both my auckland and hamilton addresses) leave your package at the door without knocking. The only way to know is if you heard the van whoch isn't easy. If someone got to your package first you got no hope, assuming it even arrived at the right place.

Your best bet is contacting fastway or the fastway courier for your area but they weren't much help for me.
