Its not just Sky they advertise there either, ive seen ads for Uber etc there too. Usually they're offering a special deal though where as that is just an ad for the regular Sky pricing, if this offered a deal as good as their telemarketers it might be good!

I guess the money they make from selling food isn't enough for them.

Yea I was ordering Dominos the other night and saw this.

Wasn't a bad deal either so I signed up.

When the pizza guy arrived on his scooter though, it was pretty clear he'd forgotten both the MySky box and the Satellite dish.  He also didn't have a tool belt or a ladder and I wasn't going to loan him mine.  Told him I'd pay for the pizzas and nothing else.

Rang up the next day and cancelled.

So pretty poor service really, watch out if you do order a Sky with your pizza.

amiga500:

I wonder if some people in bad terrestial TV reception areas have kept Sky out of habit rather than switching to Freeview Satellite? Would be a good option if they are not really into sports or movies in a big way. They would still get news from Aljazeera which is a whole lot more independent than the pro American garbage served up by CNN, FOX News etc.

Note that freeview Satellite is SD only. Sky is HD (but not full HD) on the main free channels.

They could have said "while you're enjoying your pizza, why not make it more enjoyable with a movie from Sky?" That's the marketing speak in me. But I agree, while it might be a partnership it does look a little desperate (to me).

It's like a lot of you guys have never seen these "powered by Rokt" ads before?? There's usually a stack of four or five different ads. As per the image too, you can either click the X to close the box, click the "close" button to close the box or ignore it because you have already ordered and your pizza is being made and on the way if you've selected delivery... So what exactly is the problem here?
