My previous phone was a Nokia running Windows Phone 8. I loved the hardware and the OS, but had to replace it due to Windows Phone being a dying platform. That phone was great. It survived a fall down a steel staircase without so much as a scratch (it wasn't even in a case!).

My current phone was my first foray into the world of Android. I've learned, in hindsight, how important a pure Android experience is to me and a Nokia is near the top of the list for my next phone.

This is why I don't like relying on a third party for OS updates:

This is the one and only security update this phone has received since I purchased it in February 2017.

Be replacing a beaten up Vodafone Smart 6 with a cracked screen and terrible performance. My first ever Android phone, had a solid diet of Nokia Windows phones (and Symbian before that) before this one. Still miss Windows phones, best phone OS ever.

Did you ever try Meego? Even though Windows was a very nice OS IMO Meego was much better than Windows. I had both the 920 and an N9, I had the N9 when I got the 920 and in the end went back to the N9.

A pure Android experience on either the 6.1 or 7 along the with Nokia Z launcher would be a a great set up though.

I have a Huawei P9, which while being a pretty good phone, doesn't get any security updates and hasn't for at least a year.

Ah my wife's crappy S6 Edge.  It's slow, clunky and not enough space.  Time she deserves a new phone (instead of my hand me downs.... )

I don't need a new phone however my parents (in their 70s) do.  They currently have a very cheap huawei smart phone that is very slow, takes terrible photos and is an all round terrible experience.

I loved my Nexus 5 exactly for the reasons these Nokia's are going to be a hit. Sadly the Nexus 5 died a slow painful death due to the power switch failing, and I've been using a Huawei until there is money in the budget for a Pixel.
Winning one of these would not only get me a mint phone, but I'll have a Nokia back in my hand for the first time since the 3320 was a thing.

Recently bought a Meizu Mx6 with Flyme and it just has too many glitches and weird things.

Most annoyingly is that the alarm clock doesnt work and of the many Alarm Clock apps that I have tried - none work :(

Have to take my old phone with me just for its alarm clock function.... :(
