I use a different app, but for my 3 year old Mazda 3 diesel it's showing a figure of 6.16l/100km averaged since the car was new.

Interesting. Will take a look at this, although I suspect my V6 Mitsubishi Outlander will exceed all these numbers shown so far :-D

I give it less than 30 minutes before someone come in and posts their "equivalent cost" for their EV :-)

I give it less than 31 minutes before someone come in and posts their "equivalent cost" for their EV because they're not paying any road user charges or tax. :-)

HAHAHA YOU TOO CAN BE JUST LIKE ME AND DODGE ROAD USER CHARGES BY BUYING AN EV!!!

In other news, I really do chuckle every time I hear someone moan about petrol prices.

Yeah, but how much did you have to pay for your EV and how much more did it cost than a similarly capable ICE vehicle?

Haven't looked at fuelly but my fuel card statements show the odometer reading at each fill so can calculate this easily enough over time. It generally comes out close enough to what the car computer says. Over about the last 5000km I'm averaging 8.9L of diesel / 100km. Mostly urban stop start commute with a long open road 700k round trip about twice a month. (VW Touareg 3.0L TDI)

my Mazda atenza runs between 7.5-8.8L per 100KM.

Really depends on my travel for that tank..

Interestingly i tend to get more out of a tank on days that i don't travel hamilton and back. Previously on longer travels that's where i saw the better gains.

While i travel into Auckland CBD daily, I'm quite often offpeak (tend to do 10-6.ish) Still do catch that evening traffic tail end, but generally only add +10 mins max to travel time compared to midnight.

For 14,856 Km tracked and $3,189.32 spent.

And here's my old maxima that I replaced:

Both 3l v6s, one Diesel one Petrol.

Actually I think the maxima number is garbage...the last coulple of fuelups were 11L/100 and 13.54L/100.

I wet myself laughing when you see a leaf nosed into a charger on state highway one for 2 hours in the rain and I only need to spend 2 minutes filling up in the dry!

A total of 25,054 km tracked and $4,627.97 spent.

Last 12 months is down to 8.4 l/100 km though after moving and having a 40 km/day commute to work.

Nobody sits there for 2 hours, it doesn’t take remotely that long to charge. And considering I can commute from Warkworth to Newmarket and back with charge to spare, I don’t generally have to do that anyway.

2L diesel SUV here. Averages 6.2L/100km on my commute (Auckland peak). Dips down into the mid 5's on a weekend run down the motorway.

But how much time does it take when you factor in the time used justifying that it doesn't really take that long to charge and you usually charge while at home anyway?

Nissan 370GT -4WD (Same as an Infinity EX37)... about 8.4l/100km. It's pretty bad. ALthough recently towing a heavy and enclosed trailer from Rolleston to Oamaru and back it was hitting about 13l/100km.

Cheers - N

I've tracked my fuel usage on my Mazda3 since it was purchased (with 7000km on the clock)

With 52,000km on the clock, my average is 8.1 litres per 100km; I can get really good mileage when I do out of town driving (in summer) .. in winter it all comes crashing down
