I want to dispute the title of this thread: I think think the last barrier is animism, not agism. People will be able to choose their ages long before (after all, the debate is now underway) they get to be treated the same, alive or dead.

I want to be born in the 60's so i could have bought all the insanely cheap cars that have skyrocketed in value. Especially Alpinas and other BMW's

That is not changing your age. That is time travel. ...

But pretty much on par when it comes to ridiculousness

(with humans' current levels of science and knowledge).

Having read the article, the 'discrimination' he is dealing with is that of prospective partners. If he states his real age he gets less interest.  If he deducts 20 years he gets "rammed"

I'm not sure most people would consider an age preference in partner to be a form of discrimination.  The right to say no is absolute.  In countries like NZ and the Netherlands we can legally be as discriminatory as we like when choosing a prospective partner.

If I was dating (perish the thought) I'd be completely sexist and a little bit ageist in my choice of partners.

I'm surprised no one has come out saying they are about to welcome their genderless, ageless, raceless, brainless child onto this planet!

In general I get the idea this is something of a publicity stunt for a netherlands motivational speaker.
