Yes I have laid a complaint (Howick Police Station).  I have tried emailing this company but not getting any response.  They say they have small problem with internet supplier and website should be back up soon - rubbish just delaying tactic in my opinion.  They then sent me track and trace information but I want the contract cancelled.

I am going to take this as far as I can and I will take action through the court system to get my money back if I have to.  I don't care how much it costs I'm going to get these guys so no one else is ripped off thats for sure.

I'm sure they are reading this website so know what is going on.

Ok, looks like i will be next in the line at the police station, I guess im slightly in a different boat as I did get something, even if it was a very poorly made knock off, but it is just that, a pooly made counterfiet product. They have replied once saying they would give me back $80 and i keep the fake, but it is not worth $127 and not what i ordered, I also emailed them prior to ordering asking about authenticity, and they replied that it was authentic and could be registered. So i know legally I am entitled to my money back, the one person who started this thread said he got his money back once he threatend them with the police, I was holding out that that would work, but obviously not. I have printed out all my emails, this thread do you need to take anything else to the police? I was wondering if they were watching, as they were aware that I had put them on ripoff website pretty quickly, and were not happy with me for doing that. Well I will got to the police station tomorrow, did the police say there was a good chance in getting the money back? or just that they were investigating it? Did anyone have any luck with reversing the payment at all? I was going to see if my bank westpac would do that?  Well hopefully if they get a few complants from all over the country then they will have a greater success in stopping these thieves.

Hi we brought a set of ghd's on the 11th we also have received bad fakes and were told in emails that they were authentic - we have tried contacting fairtrade and they said they would look into it, we also contacted the police here in wellington (with mixed results - they suggested we try to continue contacting them for two days and then return if we have not heard from them with a refund option and they would take a formal compliant) we have emailed the i-store a number of times - what does anyone else suggest we do?

I think, as two others had good results with the police, that I will be doing that myself. One person said he just kept emailing and did eventually get a refund. One said that the bank may be able to reverse the bank payment, but this does cost and is not gauranteed apparently, I was offered a $80 refund, which I declined and said the only ideal outcome is a full refund and return, but have not heard back since. I followed up with a email asking one last time for a refund and if not I was going to lay a complaint with the police, no reply as yet. I think they will definately be feeling the heat. But from what else I found, is that these websites are sold to people in different countrys where you have the front person. But while the supposed owners see the profits coming in, never recieve any money from the company either, which is why they always refer to having to contact there supplier. So am wondering if they honestly didn't know if they were counterfeit. I have emailed th nz commerce commision. There is also an international commerce department that I found by looking at consumer advice's website. Also the rip off reports website. I would definately email the nz commerce commision, the more complaints they recieve about a company, the more likely they will investigate, it is fraud, so hopefully will be taken seriously. Im just wondering how many people have been ripped off like us, as when i first saw the site, the number of ghds in stock was 140, and was down to only 5 left just before the site was suspended. As they were a sponsored website (coming up first in google searches in bold) I complained to google, but not sure if that was the sole reason they had the account suspended, I assume as I was told to go there by another person ripped off, that a few people complained there, so at least that has put a stop to anyone else getting ripped off. Hope this helps, if anyone has any other advice or news from the company please let me know. Thanks.

I recommend you go to the police if you have been ripped off in any way by i-store, and when you do make sure you mention a complaint against these guys has already been laid at New Plymouth and Howick police stations.  Thanks to this thread I was able to inform the officer I laid the complaint with this morning about the other complaint at the Howick Police and he subsequently contacted Howick police, which must be a good thing.  I expect I will be recieving a bad fake pair of GHD's in the not to distant future but for now my angle is 'where has i-store gone with my money'.  As far as my reversal goes with my bank (ASB), they have charged me $40 to attempt to reverse the funds but it will take up to 10 working days to process and there is no guarantee of success, so its wait and see there.  Has anyone returned their fakes to i-store?  If so was there a physical address you returned them to?

No I have asked to return it, but they won't reply to that. I just realised the info on the packing slip it came with could possibly be of some use to someone. it says the following original office: 201888 From: Shi Zhong Hua Phone: 13817979311 City: Shanghai Country: China Company : Xingren co Ltd Address: Huyi Gonglu 2623 2-102. My claim is the product supplied is counterfiet and won't give a refund. Its still fraud so hope they take it just as seriously as yours. Im still out of pocket, and only have a cheap crappy fake to show for it. Compared to a genuine which i have now done, it is very very poor quality. I would not want to use it, even if it does work. But hopefully if I say there has been reports at other stations for theft within the same company they can still tie them all up together. If the refund goes through with the bank, can you please let me know. Im willing to loose $40 if I still get back $180, far better then the $80 refund they offered me.

When you lay your complaint with the police please let me know which station you do it at, that way when i get my cheap fakes (which I am sure will come at some stage even though I have not heard from i-store since depositing the money) I can change my complaint that I laid today and tell them about your complaint. I figure safety in numbers, the more of us who complain the more seriously we have to be taken.

Im still wondering which one I go to, I live in Papakura, and our wee station may not care about this. I was thinking about goimg to Manukau, but papakura is closer. Im trying to hide this from the other half as he didn't know I brought one, so getting hard to hide from him now though.

I have also been ripped off by i-store, i have spent $424 for 2 ghd's which i havent received. I have emailed them and they responded with : we have sent your product , u may get it by end of week. Our web is suspended due to we having arguments with the web hosting company , but will resolve it soon.
I have sent another email to say it has been 8 days now since i paid for products and paid for the fast courier which was suppose to take only 2 days max. I have also gone to my bank to request for my money back which has cost an extra $50 and no guarantee that this will happen. I do know that their bank account is still open.
I have told them that i will go the police if i do not hear from them today or get my money back.
I think we should all email fairgo so that the more people that email them the more luck we have of something happening to the fraudsters. I am so angry as this was supposed to be my birthday present and nothing to show for it not even the fakes!!
I have kept all emails from them and pics of the ghd's etc, so i have proof of everything

I am couriering this back to them today, so hopefully I will have a refund by saturday, fingers crossed, and I don't just end up with nothing. Im thinking these owners may have been conned too like a few others who brouight these stores in usa. And really didn't know. Anyhow, fingers crossed, they will have it back by tomorrow, and will let you know as soon as poss if payment ha been refunded after. I think we all just need to keep pressing them. My last email to them was saying I was going to the police if they didn't sort it out soon. Maybe thats what they need.. I hope everyone else has contact. In regards to the time it takes to recieve, mine did arrive exactly on day 7, but it was drop shipped from china, so i don't think even courier post air would only take two days, so maybe a little longer. Or perhaps with the problems, the supplier has decided to stop sending fakes, or are getting better made fakes, as it is very obvious looking at this one that it is fake without checking the serial number. Fingers crossed anyway. Will update when I have more info.

Well at least you got a reply, i am still waiting on my reply. I said that i am going to the police if they do not reply in the next 2 hrs, i asked for my money back as still no item and its been 9 days today......

They are very slow at replying I have been getting one per day, and normall around the same time. If you go to the police, mention the complaint at the howick police station and new pl;ymoth, so they can tie them all in together. Ill keep my fingers crossed for you aswell. Seems strange they are replying to me, but no one else.

well they have replied to me the other day but havent for the last email i sent because i told him i want the tracking code for my item and no answer to that email and now i emailed him this morning to say i want all my money and my bank is contacting his bank so hopefully something happens????
If i had the money i would fly over now and knock on his doorstep with the cops.
Can i complain via email to the same police station as u??

The owners I think live in royal oak auckland, but the suppliers are in china. I haven't laid a complaint with the police as yet, I told Istore I was going to lay a complaint with the police if they didn't refund me, they then offered to refund once they recieved the ghd, so will lay a complaint with the police if I don't get the refund. And it will be for fraud and teft, if they have the ghd and don't refund me. You will need to go into the police station to lay a complaint, and take with you all the info you have from them, and to help perhaps print off this thread so that they can see it has happened to lots more people. But I have complained to fair go via email, like everyone else.
