After days and days and countless emails asking for my refund they finally sent one saying we are sending you your package.  I'm not sure how they could possibly think I want it after dozens of emails saying keep it I want my money back.  I can only assume they know the only way they would be in trouble with the police is if they took the money and didn't ever send the GHDs so they figured they might as well send them and now I am lumped with fake useless hair straightners.  I tried calling all the numbers I could find for them and nothing works.  Good to know tho, they are checking their emails even if they are a bit selective with which ones they reply to!!!

They also sent me email telling me they are sending package. When it arrived at the office I wouldn't accept it. I told Courier Post to take it and they held it until I instructed them to send it to the Post Office Box in Mt Roskill. I wasn't going to accept FAKE products and I told them this. I am awaiting confirmation that they have collected the parcel from the post office. Not sure whether they will or not.

If you accept the parcel then the police are unable to assist and it becomes a consumer affairs matter. I wanted to leave all avenues open to me by not accepting it. I have copies of all emails that I have sent.

At least you got a reply. When did this come through? I keep emailing but think they are ignoring me.

I got the email sometime between last night and this morning.  They are either really stupid or really clever and sadly I think it is they are really clever.

Wellieone you are in exactly the position I was in on Friday.  I'd sent them literally hundreds of e-mails telling them not to send me fake GHD's and to refund my money, but all I got was a track and trace number.  The parcel came on Saturday and I have returned it to the PO Box  number which appears earlier in this forum. Now I am e-mailing them heaps asking for my refund...they have gone quiet.  Totally agree with you, they are very clever!  Just been speaking to the police a few moments ago, my complaint against I-Store has been shelved becasue a package arrived and even if I had not accepted it, it indicates I-store have acted in good faith by providing me with goods in excahange for my money.  Gutted.

Checked out an earlier posting of an address in Mt Roskill and there is such an address.  The property is owned by someone else so they are probably the tenants.  I am also going to send letter to this address which is 19A Quona Avenue, Mt Roskill.  It says its for a YI Feng but this is probably the YI Sheng we deposited funds to so sending it to them both and to Nancy as well who is the owner of the post office box.  My parcel is still sitting there with LOTS OF OTHERS so will keep emailing, sending copies of emails in post and letters to them.  They will get sick of me and pay out.  HA HA.  If they pay out to others this is unfair.

Well these guys are bloody smart thats for sure.  My contact at the post office advised that a card was left in the post box advising that there are parcels there and the box holder is refusing to take the items.  Not sure what is going to happen now but will keep an eye on it.  At least I know that my parcel is there sitting waiting for them.

They know how to work the system thats for sure!

Well they have refunded two people so far, or three if my part refund is from them, though I only got just over half my money back, guess it's better then a kick in the *%* but I still want my other $80 if it was from them. Have sent multiple emails today, normally I was only sending one a day, and thought that was working, but...l.... If anyone gts a reply, please let me know.

Thanks

To be honest, whilst this situation sucks, it would not surprise me in the least if they were reading this forum / thread so they can keep tabs on what everyone is doing.

Yip, they certainly found out fast once I listed their site on the rip off scams list. But so far I am still down $94 and they have the ghd, very expensive lesson to learn. And alot of trust gone. =0( some people simply just can't afford to be ripped off, which is really sad, while they probably live a very good life they rip off others who can not afford to be,  if we all ha plenty of money, we wouldn't have brought the ghds from their website thats for sure, targetted towards us more concerning bargin hunters! Well I lodged a claim now,  as they took back the item, for a full refund but only refunded part, and will no longer answer emails! Also lodged another claim with the nz commerce commission, submitted another story to fair go, So I think with everyone here, and I imagine quite a few others that have not found this site, but would still be seeking help, they should be under alot of heat right now, I was told that they often use private investigators to find such people and eventually one way or another they are caught, so fingers crossed for that day. When enough people draw attention to them, there will be someone who can do something about it. If they are reading this, good on them, as far as im concerned they are *%@* for doing this. I gave them the benefit of the doubt, but no, so No nice way of putting it. If they had morals, if they were honest genuine people, they would do the decent thing and give everyone their money back,  not run and hide someone has our money, the items, and all we are, is out of pocket. I am glad I got some back, and do hope the rest of you get at least that, some is better then none I admit, but it is still wrong. For now, hoping all these complaints against them do some good.

I take it all back they have now refunded me the rest, so I have been fully refunded. Yah.... Than you i-store for following through. It took three weeks, countless emails, but we got there in the end. I will be withdrawing my claim with the police today, and will contact the other places where I pt claims in to tell them they followed through. So hold in there everyone, it may take time, but you should get there in the end. They obviously have some morals to refundme the rest owed, so should be doing the same for everyone else soon, I should say. All the best everyone with getting a successful outcome.

This is so random, how come they refund some but not others???  They are driving me around the bend.  I really do hope the law or something catches up with these people, even if it is just karma!

Maybe they are doing them in order of priority or something, those who brought theres first or complained first or something, thats all I can think of. But perhaps you should hold out hope, as they did refund me and two others on here so far, they short changed e the first refund, and I emailed and emailed and emailed in regards to them keeping $80 and taking the ghd back, but I don't think they would bther refunding anyone if they didn't plan on refunding everyone else. Have you all emaild thm your bank account numbers? I never heard frm them once I returned it, not for either refunds, but I sent them nuerous emais with my account number, so maybe if everyone else just sends there acount numbers with the refund amount. That might work, I said I was happy to lose the postge costsas long as I refunded in full for the ghd. Hope this helps. I do think theywill get to everyone else as they wouldn't bother refunding anyone surely if they were goingto take the money and run. Finges crossed for everyne else.

EVERYBODY who says that www.i-store has some morals is wrong. We seemed to be the original 'scammed' people. We received used and fake ghd hair straighteners way back at the beginning of June. By reading posts, it seems www.i-store.co.nz  continued to say they weren't aware their products were fake for some time after that. honesty is not in their vocabulary. yes, we got our money back. But then they asked us to return the hair straightener so that they could RESELL it! Incidentaly, we still have the straightener. And it's still junk that's going in the upcoming inorganic. It can't even straighten hair!

Totally agree.  If i-store had any morals what-so-ever they would have replied to my 68 e-mails and refunded the $200 of mine they have kept even though i HAVE returned the fake GHD's. I believe they are absolute con artists.
