Golf yesterday only 9 holes, as was to get to 31, never got past 24. Today, 30, never got past 27.

Heat isn't the issue, lack of ozone is. Ive been in 40 overseas, I'd have that any day than 28 here in direct sun

Yup - it's not been too bad considering the forecast.  I'd poured some concrete yesterday, dammit I was a bit slack with getting the sprinkler on it and it's got some minor cracks.

29 forecast for Weds and Thurs, 31 for Friday.

thanks to poorly built southern brick and concrete house, the inside of the house is always colder than the outside by anywhere from 1-10 degrees. for this week, it's a win!

Swype on iOS is detrimental to accurate typing. Apologies in advance.

This ain't hot! When I was a kid, we walked in bare feet on the surface of the sun to school without complaint.

We also carried a horse on our backs going to school.

Is that high or low?  I'm in ChCh, we dont get much humidity, but that range is pretty typical here. Its now 61% which is quite dry.

LOL
But you're confusing poverty with insubordination: they deliberately go to school with 10% battery so that when Mum / Dad / minder wants to get in contact during or after school, they'll be able to say, all wide-eyed and innocent "but my battery was flat"
Sigh

The little joys of parenthood are many

Pretty sure that isn't always limited to kids... 😣

past few weeks my room as averaged 32-36c with fan and open windows..

50~70% humidity.. it's deadly for motivation i swear.

When I lived in Darwin, Aus prior to moving over it was 30-35 at 100% humidity for 5-6 months of the year. Absolutely brutal with no escape even in the shade and it never dipped at night. Just non-stop heat and humidity.

Winter was nice by contrast. Lows of 14 and tops of 26-28 with no humidity.

Each of the two times I have been in New Orleans the same. It wasn't muggy as we say here, the air was wet
