The more time passes the more disappointed I am at just the story. So much more could have happened with the Night King it just feels like a wrap up =(
Honestly some of the fan theories were way more compelling than what the writers came up with. I liked the one where he was Bran from the future.

50 mins of meh and last minute wow. all you need to know about s08e03 :)
I thought Ned Stark would rise from the dead and kill Sansa :(
Oh my lord that would have sucked!!
I kept wondering if the interaction between Bran and the night King was going to have a huge twist.
Well I liked the look on the Night King's face when he realised Bran looked too cool.

Well, it was cold out... ;)
and he was sitting there a looong time! I loved that Aria got to kill the blue eyed rat bag. Go girl!

But the Dothraki can only do battle on an open field from horseback so that was probably their most effective play in all honesty. And the storm and dragon battle were the main reason why they didn't just use the dragons on the dead once the trench was lit, that was even said to have been the plan, having the dragons light the trench then it would be like fish in a barrel. Despite this there was one shot where Jon was on the wall to the God Wood, on a dragon, just staring at the dead behind the trench, go on mate!
Nope - send the Dothraki out to the side and attack the flank.
Your artillery is suppose to be BEHIND your defenses - not in front of the unsullied. You also fire off an artillery bombardment before you go charging in for melee combat.
The unsullied should also be behind the trenches - that way when the wights breached parts of the fire in the trenches they can focus on defending those sections.
Also the white walkers don't have any artillery so they should have stood their ground behind the walls - made holes to poke anyone climbing up, poured oil down them etc... Yes the giants would still be a threat admittedly.
There are instances in history that a smaller force can be outnumbered by a larger force but still win - meeting the enemy front on won't work.
Although it was cool seeing the dothraki flames snuff out in the distance.
I was half waiting for Bran to summon an army of dire wolves or something to save the day (after all he did piss off with the ravens - fat lot of help he was) but they have used that trick before with the Battle of the Bastards.
I was thinking flaming oil over the walls too, but I guess maybe they didn't have any. Also the archers around Bran had too short of a distance, I think the undead would have been able to overwhelm them in a real rush.
The whole thing was way too dark. I resisted cranking up the contrast. I liked the musical score at the end.
RIP Ser Jorah, Lord Beric, Lyanna Mormont, Dolorous Edd, Theon and Melisandre – as others have noted not a shockingly large Major Character kill-off. I wonder if Ghost survived?
I agree with previous posts re: Dothraki – poor use of Cavalry tactics there and I suspect the writers knew this but decided to incorporate Melisandre’s unexpected re-emergence and flaming sword sorcery into a visually impressive Charge of the Light Brigade moment.
This also addresses one of the issues proposed in the books in that Westerosi would not look favourably on a foreign queen with an army of barbarian horse lovers. With the Dothraki and presumably the Unsullied wiped out Dany becomes ironically more acceptable to local lords yet less appealing for the almost total loss of her military force.
I was slightly annoyed that they downplayed the effects of fire on the wights – in the books the wights are extremely vulnerable to fire, so I would have expected the dragon fire and massed volleys of fire arrows to have more effect. The wights should NOT have been able to smother the trench fires with their bodies as this would have only added fuel to the fires, I would have been more convinced by the Night King conjuring another blizzard to extinguish the trench flames.
Not sure what happened to the Army / Knights of the Vale that saved Jon’s ass at BOTB. We saw Lord Royce with Sansa in the previous episode, but not in E3 plus I saw no Westerosi knights in the Dothraki charge other than Jorah Mormont. Hopefully they were sent south as a reserve and will bolster our heroes’ now pitiful forces against Cersei’s.
Didn’t see the point of Bran’s warging into ravens - didn’t achieve anything and he returned to his body in the end. Maybe the 3-Eyed Raven in him has actually left and he’s back to being normal Bran Stark again? I liked Arya being the Night King-Slayer and would have enjoyed it more if Theon had made a final distraction from below enabling her to make the killing stroke making his sacrifice worthwhile in the end.
With Melisandre, it’s interesting that her personal mission seemed to be seeking out and upholding the reincarnation of the Lord of Light’s Champion Azor Ahai. First Stannis and after he died she gravitated to Jon and I think we the audience were fooled into thinking Jon would be the saviour of the world due to resurrecting. Then in E3 we have a couple of interactions with Arya and suddenly she’s the hero who saves the day. But Melisandre doesn’t anoint or proclaim her and is happy to go and off herself presumably because her mission is completed? Just a bit strange.
Although the threat of the undead is over, would love it if in a final twist – the night queen is shown to be conquering the other continent Essos with her army of the undead and looking to Westeros avenge her hubby’s demise.
I expect Brans visit elsewhere will become a feature in a later episode. I believe he might be playing the long game as he can see the future. I am entirely guessing.

Ghost did survive - he's in the preview for E04.
I'm assuming both Dragons made it too - I think there is a shot of them flying over Sansa in the preview but it looks like the same shot as E01.

I liked the idea that after the night king defeats everyone at winterfell he goes to bran and bends the knee.
Yup, that would have been crazy. Wouldn't have left much for the remaining episodes though I don't think. If Night King can defeat all those, then there isn't much chance for the rest of the world/Cersi.
I am kind of wondering at this point, why Cersi and the rest don't split the land remaining and just live separately in peace. I mean she is a coniving witch, but yeah.. Logically, is there any REAL reason they have to dispatch her?
