TENKAN: Contacting them is like sending a message to a rock! Also it's $2 a minute to call them, so you pay to correct a mistake made by them, it'll fall on deaf ears. As one has already stated they are so quick to email saying you owe them but drag their feet when you want a refund of the success fees, with no competition they basically can do as they want.




Personally I haven't had trouble emailing them, but they can be slow. Likewise the old refund system worked.  Maybe it is better to select the option' buyer did not make contact' instead, and then trademe can sort it out with the buyer as to why they didn't proceed? A bad buyer shouldn't ever leave the seller out of pocket.

I personally think charging your customers to call you to resolve problems with your service is...a very odd idea.

Yes a trend I'm seeing is towards troll questions rather than genuine enquiries about an item.

Also the amount of sales where people ghost or back out is highest it's ever been, which is why I'm perplexed as to why they have chosen to make getting a success fee refund so difficult now.

As TM said in response to my complaint "We've recently improved our automated process so it's easier to use and faster for sellers".... Really?? Well no it's not easier to use as now you've taken away the option to enter why the trade isn't going ahead... And it's not faster either as the refund used to be instant in most cases, especially by selecting the trade isn't going ahead by mutual agreement option.

I agree that the number of people backing out or not bothering to contact has gone up recently. It never used t be a problem. I wonder if that has anything to do with the change, but sellers shouldn't have to jump though hoops to get a commission refund if the seller doesn't complete the sale.
