I need a program to mix between two songs, all it needs to do is 20s before a track ends is start fading in the next song. and then I can change the other song and it will fade back to it.

I have looked at TPlayer, but that doesnt read the files I want

I have had a play with the trial of Virtual DJ, but I cant get that to do an automatic fade.
Is this possible?

Are there any other programs that could be possible?

I was going to suggest Audacity as well :)

I just tried it and it seems do to what you're asking, if I'm understanding you properly as to what you want it to do, if that makes sense!

You could try Raduga.. I think that's a free programme.
If you're looking for something a bit more professional, try stationplaylist.  It costs money but there is a 30 day trial you can download.   I use the Pro version for my radio station.

Are you talking about an ability to fade between tracks during playback? or a programme to develop a cross-track composition? If the former, Winamp can fade in/out with the option to adjust the fade length. But you have to set a playlist between the songs, with an edited version of the 20 second one. If the latter, then I would imagine most audio edit programmes can achieve this. I use an older one, called Cooledit '96.

I have found a program called ultra mixer which is really good and does just what I want it to do, so I will probably purchase it but....

I keep getting this error:

UltraMixer error

Does anyone know what this means?
