Flying cars are much safer than they were in the '60s.  If something breaks these days - you can 3d print replacement parts:

frankv: Flying cars are never going to be a thing, sadly.

This popped up in a "News" feed, just before reading this thread: https://www.euronews.com/living/2020/04/11/with-women-among-the-pilots-this-is-set-to-be-the-formula-1-for-flying-electric-cars

Keep calm, and carry on posting.

Getting a bit off topic, but:
I'm happy to see racing, because that will lead to innovation
Red Bull has already tried and failed at air racing. There was also a Rocket Racing League (yes, actual rocket-powered aircraft racing) which sadly came to nothing.
There's already air racing at Reno, and I can't see this holding a candle to the Sport, let alone Unlimited, classes
Reno has female pilots too
There's already a Formula 1 air race class at Reno. Admittedly they're the slowest and smallest of the race classes.

floydbloke:

Given there is so  much less traffic on the roads, and exponentially fewer crashes there will be fewer insurance claims.  Hence less to pay out for the insurance companies so we can all look forward to cheaper premiums

Screensnap from LinkedIn.  Props to Tower

Southern Cross sent an email a couple of weeks ago saying they will be refunding up to $ 50 million to their members.

It's not (yet?) for NZ, but Germany's Minister for work is preparing for anchoring (up to) 25% home office as a right of an employee in the general working regulations.
