Can anyone give a current update on Trade Me/AliExpress deliveries? I need to order something and would like to have an idea when I might expect to get it.

Probably by the end of the year 😆

Waiting on numerous Ali packages. The odd one appears but not in the sequence of orders that I placed. Really is pot luck but not swift.

Now I'm waiting on a game my son ordered from the UK via eBay. That was ordered a couple of weeks ago. The rate things are going he'll probably have it by Christmas.

Are there any freight flights here from the UK at all? I don't mind waiting but the lack of any information is annoying.

Comments based on my recent experience.

New Zealand Courier companies... If you're in Auckland you're out of luck. That end of the country seems clogged.

Couriepost to or from Auckland from Wellington. Hopeless. To or from South Island ref Wellington, Courierpost transit times are normal. I've received overnight deliveries from Christchurch trademe buys several times in the past couple of weeks. Sold items to the South Island and via Courierpost the deliveries have been normal, a couple of days.

Fastway, Aramex. Avoid like the plague. I am waiting for a trademe buy from the South Island... two weeks now....

Aliexpress. Use Aliexpress standard shipping. It might cost a few dollars more but I'm getting items through in 2 weeks. Chinapost, its dead. Won't arrive.

Saw this news the other day. I guess a lot of goods from aliexpress stucked in Southeast Asia since a lot of countries in lockdown. So won't be surprised if a lot goods that heading to NZ still stuck in Southeast Asia.

https://simpleflying.com/malaysia-airlines-cargo-flights/

The A380 left Kuala Lumpur at 09:50. In place of passengers, the plane was carrying 26 tons of mostly e-commerce goods originating from Guangzhou.

The plane was also fully loaded upon the return leg. The flight, MH001, left London Heathrow at 11.35 am on the 29th of April, primarily transporting pharmaceutical products and mail.

Speaking of planes (slight tangent here):

https://www.flightradar24.com/

Have a look at the lower-than-usual number of aeroplanes over New Zealand. Then have a look over the US (or China). Vast, vast difference.

For international different tracking sites you can get different results, either more detailed or sometimes updated quicker - 17track.net can have a bit more detail to perhaps understand your tracking progress more.

AK72:

PolicyGuy:

I have a package that's "Cleared and awaiting international departure |SYDNEY NSW | Date & time Thu 7 May • 1:28am"
I know there's restricted flights a.t.m., but you'd think there might be one in four days from Sydney to Auckland. Sigh

Have you had any progress with your package from Australia? I have one showing international departure on the 12th May - I understand and expect delays, especially with actual delivery but I wasn't expecting to have a long delay in it arriving here. I just want to have an idea of how long people are experiencing through the various stages. I wonder if they have arrived in the country but are sitting in a container until they can get to even scanning them as received? When I looked on the Australian Post site it is quoting 10-15 days for standard to NZ - I don't know how updated and accurate this is considering our delivery situation.

No signs of movement at all, still the same status.
Very, very aggravating

Standard shipping, my Aliexpress item arrived one month after dispatch. |
Trade Me, depends on location and company. Courier-Post have been more consistent over the past fortnight.

Pair of Edifier speakers just arrived from Grafton, Australia, almost one month from the day they were processed over there.

Taking away parcel size difference, (wifi card > R1280db speakers), Australia is 3 days faster than China.

Fair dinkum.

Waiting on some UK Ebay items as well. Found a good deal on some Arctic P12s. Was free shipping though so can't complain too much. Would've been nice if it came with tracking. Ordered on the 1st of May, so hopefully here by the end of the month.
