A workmate has a family member at NZ Post said they've taken over an empty warehouse in East Tamaki and set up a temporary storage/sort centre. Hopefully it helps clear the backlog.

Off topic but I sent a package with NZ Couriers on Thursday from Auckland and arrived next day in Wanaka. So as everyone else says most other companies are back to (almost) normal.

quickymart:

Seems (for the most part) all courier companies bar Courierpost are managing their deliveries in a timely manner. They're the only ones still running behind.

I always seem to have my packages delivered by CP/NZP and so far I've only had one parcel fail to be delivered the next day. I'm averaging 2-3 deliveries a week during lockdown so seems to be a pretty good success rate to me. Interstingtly I've not had a single non-CP/NZP parcel so I would guess CP are handling bulk of parcels within NZ? Or they handle the bulk of deliveries for Ascent and Mighty Ape which are my main virtual retailers. Even parcels orginating from overseas ports seem to be handed over to CP/NZP on arrival in NZ. Can't avoid CP/NZP but at least they're doing well in my neck of the woods (Pukekohe as I have my parcels delivered to SO's workplace).

I ordered some electronic items on the 12th May from AliExpress.

Paid the $2 extra for AliExpress Standard Shipping.

Arrived in Auckland on the 21st May, and picked up by NZPost / CourierPost the same day.

No movement shown since then.

PB Tech order (a TV) collected by CourierPost 5/5/20 - still buried in the pile at AOC/AMC Sorter & DepotScan 20 days later!

The Warehouse -  Easter egg order collected by CourierPost 5/5/20 - probably eaten by rats by now also buried at AOC/AMC Sorter & DepotScan 20 days later

Also have another 8x parcels with CourierPost, slowly going nowhere it seems, and they just need to come across town!! Patience wearing thin.....

Why do they still state up to 10 days delay for Auckland on their website, Facebook etc? I bet there's a lot of others affected by these delays that have gone on far too long.

kiwiharry: Still waiting on a package that was sent "Overnight" via CourierPost on 07 May. Going from North Shore to West Auckland.

Tracking just says parcel delayed. No estimated delivery.

Finally showing today as with Courier for Delivery.

I'm waiting for a replacement router from my ISP...ordered last week, picked up this morning...no idea when we can expect the delivery. Been a week without meaningful wifi - didn't realise how much I relied on it.

Almost the same for me. Mine has been 6 days in the country showing doubled status updates. What I realised is the small AliExpress parcels are getting sorted, then handed over to NZ Post then going through their system.

Got mine today via the postie only to find I've been sent the wrong item - now I have to go through the whole process again.

I've been using the Parcel app, NZ Post app and 17Track and they all show different levels and details of progress.

Package picked up in Auckland 7th May.

- Off the grid until it showed up yesterday (26th May), in Christchurch.

- Tracking showed it was still being sorted in a different local sort centre (not the main ChCh hub)

- I think safe to say this package has been manually hauled about.....

Bought a jacket off Trade Me. The sender located in Auckland used ParcelPort / Castle Parcels. Ticket created at 11:55am on the 26th of May. Item delivered to Hamilton on the 27th of May, between 6-7am. Not bad

Well the sender put the right name, but the WRONG address on my parcel.

Delivered in Auckland yesterday, I'm in Christchurch!

NZPost tell me that my name is correct, but the address shown on the label is an Auckland one.

I've used the supplier several times in the past without any problem.

Now the AliExpress merry go round starts!

New Router couriered on Monday - received on Tuesday.

Still waiting on bike lights ordered weeks ago. Due for delivery last week...it is what it is, I guess.

I posted recently about receiving the wrong item from AliExpress.
I noticed that the sticker on top is saying from UCL. Co Ltd which is a NZ Post address in Auckland. It looks like they put the wrong address sticker on top of a parcel that was showing an address in Holland. I got my refund from AliExpress but now it seems that it may be a mistake from NZ Post - no chance of getting hold of them.

My AU package has finally made it to an "International Departure" status - thats taken a month to get there.

Only local package Im waiting for (from a GZ user), was from Tauranga to AKL... its been sitting in the Processing status since last Thursday I think.

Hoping to see both packages before the weekend, especially the AU one.....

Supplier has assured me that the package was addressed properly.

I have advised them that NZPost will not give me the details of the address label, and that they must query it via China Post.

Now the waiting continues!
