msukiwi:

Supplier has assured me that the package was addressed properly.

I have advised them that NZPost will not give me the details of the address label, and that they must query it via China Post.

Now the waiting continues!

My label was right but it was stuck on the wrong parcel addressed to someone in Holland. I don't know if AliExpress is having issues giving NZ Post the wrong info or NZ Post making mistakes.

Spoke to NZPost again - different phone number provided by the seller.

The operator I got could find no evidence of any label / package photo!

I asked if the previous operator had lied - to which the reply was "Looks like it"!!!

Inquiry to delivery driver in progress.

I have been sent an email confirmation and number for my case.

NZPost have stated:

We have received a response from the CourierPost team who has advised the item has been delivered as addressed. This item has been addressed to an Auckland address. The sender may have possibly given you a incorrect tracking number for your item.

NZPost have provided NO Proof of the address label, so how could they say it had my correct name on it? (Yet an Auckland address)

Something stinks! (And I doubt it is the seller)

It does stink, and it was very nice of you to chase it up for the seller, but don't forget that it's his responsibility to get the item to you safely, not yours.

He can follow it up however he wants, but the bottom line is that you didn't receive the item through no fault of your own. Now it's time for him to either resend the item or refund you.

I know it is up to the sender to ultimately follow it up. But I'm in the right timezone to try and get an answer etc.

I also note the email result from NZPost is from a NOREPLY address, with no other email contact (Or any contact details at all) given!

It does stink, ...

To high heavens. I tried to recall a parcel. Due to the delays, it was no longer required at the destination. Today, a completely unknown parcel arrived with a "Return To Sender" sticker & the original destination on it.

The original recipient of the unknown parcel is willing to drive 90+ kms one way rather than wait for the delivery by the courier.

The seller has asked me to open a dispute with AliExpress.

Only problem is that you can't because NZPost have marked it as delivered!

I have advised the seller.

Frustrating for everyone except NZPost, who don't care!

No care and even less responsibility.

But they'll go on the news and plead for forgiveness for the delays because it's been "really busy"...

Needs to be some kind of official inquiry into this debacle...eg how overloaded were they and what did they do to correct it?

You can still open a dispute after is is accepted/delivered. I got the wrong parcel and had to accept it in order to open a dispute.

There 2 option I can see...No Goods or Wrong Goods.

Select No Goods, and it says it was delivered! That's it!

Perhaps go through a more reputable international company such as DHL. Might be looking at a higher shipping cost however. Guess it comes down to how fast you want it to get there, and how cheap do you want to go.

I had some issues finding how to do and had to Google it, can't quite remember now, but there was someway to access the dispute process - I'll try to see if I find it.

If it's small enough, certianly don't send it by airmail. Another week has ticked by, and as far as I'm aware New Zealand is still not (or is barely) sending or receiving any international airmail.
