Well, compared to using carrier mackerel across the Rangipo Desert I would... hmm.... yeah, I think NZ Post could be more reliable.
Haha, a lot of parcels my way end up via courierpost as they are the partner of all the others that won't come to my area (though I see them serving addresses 5 mins drive away I guess they have to stop somewhere) - My latest courierpost catastrophe was a MyFoodBag delivery that didn't turn up two sundays ago - I got a text message saying it'd be sent Monday. Upon calling MFB I was told I'm not in the metro auckland area covered by courierpost so it would be a tuesday delivery. I said fine, I didn't even think about the food being fresh, I assumed it would be kept refrigerated. Regardless, nothing turned up.............until Thursday. Yummy rotting chicken and fish and beef mmmmmmmmm-mmmmm my favourite courier alright

Maybe they only asked the staff in the marketing department? 😄
Parcel from Healthcoates appliances has been sat at Morningside depot, awaiting local courier for 3 days now!
Estimated delivery was set to the 31/08/2020
Ordered late 26/08, dispatched 27/08
Appreciate busy, but in the age of internet ordering a quick turn around should be second-nature
The little things make the biggest difference.
Not a delay issue per se but I recently had a new credit card couriered to me by ANZ. Since I wanted it couriered and not go to the branch, they said would I be home and it would require a signature. But following the tracking number, the card was delivered and just stuffed in the letter with another CP package even though it was clearly marked signature required. ANZ didn't get their money's worth here!
Staying in Wellington. Check out my AirBnB in the Wellington CBD. https://www.airbnb.co.nz/h/wellycbd PM me and mention GZ to get a 15% discount and no AirBnB charges.

When was it delivered? CP may be stipulating contactless delivery meaning automatic authority to leave if they deem it safe

Contactless isn't supposed to mean they can just dump sig required in the letterbox.
They are supposed to sight the recipient and leave it on the ground a safe distance away from them - in other words, come to the door, knock, step backwards, wait for the recipient as they normally would, if they come to the door they can leave it on the ground, if they don't they really should be carding it.
Of course lchiu7 may have an ATL setup which does allow it to be left, either by them, somebody else in the house, or some previous occupant of the house and if CP leaving packages without signature is happening often they should check on that with NZ Post.

Okay, I do know that other carriers were simply initiating an ATL whether there was one in place or not based on whether the driver felt it was safe to leave the package or not. It was displayed on their web sites - from memory NZ Couriers, PBT, PostHaste? CourierPost have done this at my address as well, company policy or not.

I've never used them, but "in progress" typically means it hasn't been picked yet. Give them a call.
I'm sure it's all in the driver.
My CourierPost driver is awesome. Always comes to my door, sig required or not.
A smiley happy chap who has time for a quick chat before moving on.
Delete cookies?! Are you insane?!
If only all couriers were like that!
I finally got my parcel today. I suspect it was indeed due to the post office being closed and the courier couldn't access the lobby for delivery.
