Anyone know how long it's taking to send to Australia at the moment? I posted something to Brisbane on Christmas Eve but it hasn't turned up yet.

The last 2 "Air Satchel Tracked" aka TEXPRA parcels sent to Aussie; one sent on 22nd Nov took 18 days, and another sent on 1st Dec arrived in 13 days, so was pretty quick, not sent anything more recent though. (both sent to VIC)

Also, I believe the Air Satchel Tracked tickets travel at the same speed as the "International Air Small Parcel" that's on NZPosts retail site, it's just tracked for an extra $2-3.

From memory, I sent this by airmail, so should I have expected it to arrive by now?

Well it's only been 7 working days since the 24th Dec, as most of the past 2 weeks were public holidays when allot of mail doesn't move so much.

I wouldn't expect it to arrive till late next week (or this week, if your week starts on a Sunday) if your lucky, or more likely the week after. Just my 2c anyway.

Yes good point, I'll check the recipient next week to see if it's been received yet.

I ordered something from Aussie on thr 17th Dec and it only arrived in NZ (or was processed by customs.. not sure) on Friday.

Everything seems to be running at a snails pace.

I ordered something from Portugal on Ebay before Chirstmas which is being sent via Royal Mail.

When should I expect this? I was originally hoping weeks but its looking like it could be months...

I ordered 2 switches from RS Components on 2 Jan that were listed as in stock. I assumed they'd be delivered from Auckland but when they arrived on morning of 7th discovered that they'd been sent from the Sydney warehouse on the 4th. Business as usual doesn't have to include extended delays.

Next week everything should be back to normal though, right? I've also had something sent to me from Australia just before New Year's and am wondering how long that's going to take.

Local stuff should although they have a backlog according to the NZ Post website.
Intentional stuff depends where it’s coming from

By this week I meant today :D

Where does it say on their website there's a backlog? I couldn't see anything.

Thanks for that, couldn't see Australia anywhere on the list though, so I assume they're unaffected.

Delays in receiving parcels from overseas

There are still major international delivery delays with parcels arriving in to NZ from overseas. We are working to have the majority of parcels, once received in to NZ Post, delivered within 7 working days.

Inbound Backlogs

Please be advised that currently all inbound items are subject to delay for final delivery due to backlogs of 4-5 days at our processing facility. We are working closely with the border agencies to clear the backlog as fast as possible.

That is for all countries ^^^
