I have four parcels with Courierpost at present - earliest is a pickup last Thu in Christchurch that still shows no signs of being delivered.

I have a parcel from The Warehouse picked up on Sunday from the Lower Hutt store that shows as an overnight delivery rather than economy service that shows no scans after a pickup scan by the courier - it hasn't even updated yet to show "at depot" like some of the others. You'd think it would make sense to try and at least sort local delivery goods separately.

It sounds like they've been totally swamped in orders and their processes are so broken they've made things really bad for themselves.

I now tell people to expect delays when I send an item since the shift to online and contactless.

But.. Man... Some people still don't get it. "Where's my parcel!?... I've been waiting for over a week"... Yeah you, and every other man and his dog.

Ordered laptop from PB Tech on Monday night, after close of business. Was picked up by CourierPost on Wednesday and delivered Thursday morning.

Couldn’t ask for any better.

NZ couriers were equally quick with overnight delivery for a canvas from diamond photos.

I would’ve thought they’d be separating local deliveries a bit more as well but sounds like it’s not the case.
Nzposts sure tells sellers to sort by area if they have multiple pickups in a day. Send out of town stuff on earliest courier and within town stuff on later ones.

Kinda annoying that couriers are no longer scanning on pickup for some stores. Because right now I have a few parcels showing tracking number created and no pickup scan for days. Store says dispatched. But if couriers hasn’t said they’ve picked it up and it’s not being scanned at depots either it would be very easy for parcel to just disappear.

Just echoing others here... I have about 5 courierpost parcels on the way, currently all are over 5 days from pickup and not arrived (All domestic, one is Ch->Ch)

It's not worth calling, there's nothing they will do. (They didn't do anything before this current situation either if you complained)

Cheers -N

My DHL and UPS deliveries are all tracking well and as expected. Anything involving NZ Post seems to run into issues. I have tracked mail items sitting with NZ Post since mid-late March with no updates, Courier Post have been mostly OK, maybe a few delays on pickup etc...

Nzposts update:

Daily update (7 May) : The road and air networks operated mainly to plan overnight. However, there have been extensive delays to CourierPost items due operational issues. Deliveries will be completed later today where possible, or tomorrow. We apologise for any inconvenience that these delays may have caused.

Same as yesterday. They really should review that because clearly thing aren’t getting delivered today or tomorrow when they said that yesterday.

So just an update. I just got one of my packages that I thought had been stuck at the Hamilton depot... Looking at the tracking history - seems like they're just not scanning the package as it goes through the various stages. Only 3 entries recorded:

29/04 - Tracking Number allocated;
30/04 - Collected from sender;
07/05 (8:21am) - With courier for delivery.

received at 07/05 at 11.30am.

The inconsistency is the toughest part.

Sent an item from Hamilton to Christchurch through Fastway on the 23rd of April, and the item is 'currently in transit'.

Sent an item from Hamilton to Christchurch through Fastway on the 4th of May, and the item was delivered this morning.

a reply from Mighty Ape

I can confirm this was shipped out on the 28th of April (unscanned). Typically, a picked up scan happens when the orders are collected from our warehouse. At the moment to ensure we can keep up our fast processing times and the safety of ours and NZ Posts staff, we haven't been scanning these and they're handed straight over to NZ Post.

Common sense is not as common as you think.

Reading through this thread I'm in parts resigned to waiting awhile for my new laptop from PBtech and somewhat optimistic that it might get through with minimal delays... I'll prepare for the worst.

Wife placed a big order with Kmart when they allowed online shopping, she received the first item 2 days after ordering and the last a week after that. The last was a 20c snow globe the size of a chupa chup and a pack of hairclips for the eldest, both of which arrived in a box the size of a Country Estate bladder wine. That's what is wrong with this whole situation, retailers like TWH and Kmart shipping everything piecemeal in over-sized individual boxes.

I've been absent from GZ for a while, great to see so many familiar names out and about, Kia Kaha.

xpd:

I've ordered a bunch of stuff from AU and NZ in the past week, only one arrived so far. That was an order from Harvey Norman - ordered on Saturday, it was here yesterday.

I'm just being patient as everyone should be.

Your Harvey Norman quote struck a chord with me.

Our steam mop died and we ordered a new one from Harvey Norman.

Yes, this particular model was an essential item in Level 4.

The next day it was delivered by a man in a BMW.
