Well, my CourierPost Delivery Driver must be one of their best. Things actually get delivered faster since he has been on the job than any of the previous Drivers we have had here.

Well it's good to see they're hiring at least some good new people. Their usual intake of delivery people leaves something to be desired.

Yep, the old one is much better, dunno why they bothered with the new one.

They've employed the same people that have redesigned TradeMe. Take something that works, put flashing 1990s website things on it, make it load like you're on dialup and make it crash 1 time in 10.

CourierPost have extended out their "Expected Delivery" now. My driver still managed to deliver a parcel this morning two days before the "Expected Delivery".

I congratulated him on his service again :-)

He is certainly one of the best drivers from any Courier Company that we have ever had.

(We've certainly had some bad ones over the years too)

Just got a notification that something I've ordered to assist with glue-ups is on its way:

Measurements : 38cm x 32cm x 29cm

Either these bar clamps are being shipped as steel billets with some post-purchase manufacturing required or that measurement isn't quite right.

My NZ post store had no courier bags to send things in, and they said they had been waiting over a week to get stock. The lady in the store recommended another courier company  to me. Not great that our national postal service is in this state, I hope they don't complain that their business is losing revenue and have to put up prices etc.

I've had this happen several times before we were in lockdown, it could just be someone forgetting to order new stock in time.

A CD picked up from the Riccarton JBHifi by CourierPost Yesterday (For an Upper Riccarton Delivery - Different CourierPost Drivers) is still ONLY showing that it has been Picked Up.

No sign of it for my usual delivery before 0730hrs.

CourierPost show the expected delivery to be on the 4th.

The wheels have definitely fallen off CourierPost down here!

NZ Post deliveries here in Auckland seem to be delayed for up to a week for goods purchased locally, but  several items I've purchased from overseas sellers, particularly China, seem to be either buried under a huge pile, or have given very low priority. Some have cleared NZ customs and have been on their way to an NZ Post Local Depot since the beginning of October. This is very similar to the L4 to L3 lockdown change that happened in 2020. Even local items took around a month to get across Auckland back then. Disappointing that lessons weren't learnt from this.

NZ Post are building a huge new facility at Wiri but it will take another year or 2 to finish.

I think part of High Brook and International Mail centre will be based there.

Had a package arrived today that was picked up from Petone around 1pm yesterday, out for delivery around 1pm today, delivered 4pm. Needless to say it wasn't NZ Post, I was impressed that Post Haste could get something from Wellington to my door in one day given the current conditions, NZ Post can't even manage a pickup in that time.

This was part of the Bunnings order I've referred to elsewhere that started out as an order from Glenfield for what was in stock there + Silverdale for what was in stock there that got consolidated to Glenfield, part cancelled for not-in-stock, and then re-split to Glenfield plus two stores in Wellington. Possibly they've moved to fulfilling orders from stores outside the conflagration zone in order to meet demand.

I booked and paid for (through Trademe) a parcel pickup from Whangarei (NZPost), to be picked up the morning of the 2nd - 2 days ago.

The parcel is STILL sitting on my front step, clearly visible, waiting for a courier.
