As of today it has been four weeks since a package left Auckland and there's still no sign of it. NZ Post has been "investigating" for about a fortnight at this point.

The vendor gave me a refund, but who knows whether anything'll ever turn up.

Post Haste seems pretty consistently the worst. Have one package picked up in Auckland 11 days ago, and no updates since.

I've got a FedEx parcel that was scheduled for delivery on Mon 13th. It's been in NZ since that date despite spending 4 days during the week prior stuck in Singapore.

On Friday FedEx said they were swamped with parcels and that I "should hopefully" get it delivered by the end of this week. On Saturday it was updated to show a Monday delivery. The equipment was needed for work in Auckland tomorrow.

Rang again today when it hasn't been delivered and they said it was in Wellington. Drove to the depot to try and get it and they said no it's not here it's still in Auckland they they promised it would be delivered tomorrow. Let's see.

It's crazy that companies like FedEx are charging over 100% surcharges (this stuff was about USD250 for shipping) and yet their service is just crap.

Meanwhile I can order something from Amazon AU last Tue, watch it leave the Melbourne DC at 5pm, arrive in Wellington by 1pm Wednesday, and be delivered by DHL to my office on Thursday morning - all for free.

Yeah, Fedex is about the most expensive service you can get, but far from the best.

So far I've been impressed by DHL's service, even in the midst of the lockdown.

Ordered some Toner yesterday on TradeMe. Didn't expect to see it before Christmas.

Seller is in Auckland and I am in Christchurch.

CourierPost have ALREADY delivered it!

Well Done CourierPost.

If the seller uses Book a Courier on TradeMe, the cheapest option (economy) with NZPost is overnight, which is really good.

Sort of related - NZ Post increasing the price of sending letters (people still do this?):

NZ Post Parcel left Nelson 2pm 20th Dec arrived here in Auckland 12pm 22nd Dec. Can't complain given the volume they must be dealing with.

Sounds like typical Post Office logic.  Increase the costs ands wonder why the volume goes down..

Just got something overnight from Australia (Element14), which was damn impressive. Somewhat annoyingly it's the one thing I'm waiting for where I don't really care how long it takes, but still, impressive performance by DHL.

Package 1 arrived in Auckland six days ago and is still sitting there. Package 2 left Japan three days ago and was delivered today. Go figure.
