When dealing with Aramex, what's the best way to get hold of them, or at least to get them to pick up a parcel that they seem to have forgotten about?  There's the contact form on the web site, a phone number for the Aramex depot in Penrose, and a phone number for the local courier, which is a landline so presumably a closer depot.

I've got three shipments in transit at the moment all ordered at roughly the same time, one from Whangarei, one from Wairau Valley which is about 5km from here (unfortunately they don't do pickups), and one from Guangzhou in China. I wonder which one will arrive first?

(At the moment it looks like the one traveling 5km will best the one from China by about a day, but I still expect that to beat the one from Whangarei).

At least yours make sense! I have one coming from North Carolina, and the tracking shows that it's currently in Bahrain.

Edit: Actually, this is really weird. The dispatch notice says that it's coming from NC via UPS, but the tracking number is for DHL and shows it coming from Pakistan. Now I'm wondering whether I'm going to receive the right thing...

Just of interest, the "Alltrack" site is not operating as expected at the moment. Surfing to the main site redirects to some admin login page. Many NZ retailers send links to this site rather than the individual courier companies.

The item had this in the Amazon cart:

Item arrives in packaging that reveals what's inside. To hide it, choose Ship in Amazon packaging.

I chose Amazon packaging, so there might be an issue with that.

I've just got something with tracking status "Restricted Item - Battery Item".  It has a CR2032 in it, sigh.

(You can't do much to a CR2032, even a dead short across them won't do anything because of the relatively high internal resistance).

There was a small tear in the box, I thought it was something dramatic from one of the updates! Item is fine.

Aramex obviously still have problems.

A PBTech order picked up on the 3rd in Christchurch still has not made it to my address in Christchurch!

Showing as "Your parcel is in our care"!!

Still waiting for my Chch to Chch parcel.

Rang the Aramex Depot @ 0820hrs and they confirmed it was there and it MIGHT be delivered tomorrow!

Probably while I am out!

Filled in the Online complaint form that my order hasn't arrived @ PBTech, still haven't heard anything from them!

And now an even better one, "Restricted Item - Battery Item" again, only there's no battery, and no ability to fit or install a battery, or even to power it by an external battery.

Another item, some embedded stuff shipping from Korea.  First it went from South Korea, which is right next to Japan, across to Guangzhou, which is nowhere near South Korea (or Japan).  From there it went back up to Japan, which is right next to South Korea where it started from.  Next zigzag was Singapore... they're really going for their air miles with this one.  I expect the next update to be from Taiwan or the Philippines.

A bit of a smile was when a recent package from Czechia was supposedly scanned in Auckland at 8:30 in the morning, and then delivered in Whakatane at 9:37 that same morning. The driver must have put in some serious work :)

So after the last order above from PBTech and the Aramex debacle of which PBTech were advised, my next order arrived via CourierPost ig good time etc.

Great I thought.

Bought the latest Kindle last week from them.

Hoped I would get CourierPost again.

NOPE! You guessed it......bl**dy Aramexl

All 3 orders were picked up from their Christchurch Branch for a Christchurch Delivery!

Why do they NOT have an option to select which Courier you want and change the price accordingly?

Sheesh, CDL have had it available for decades!

With regards to my latest PBTech / Aramex parcel, NO further scans showing since Pickup on the 18th!
