I had that when there was a length of pneumatic hose that was declared as windpipe and some medical sounding translation of that. I had to send them details of what it really was and then they were cool with it.

my purchased product is called a "REPTILE S800" (its a RC kit plane ) .
I guess that might raise a few flags, 800 is alot of reptiles in that small box .
looks like China sorted out their huge backlog of parcels and back to normal dispatch/delivery times? :)

Anyone had their parcel stuck in DONGGUAN / Guangzhou recently due to the COVID outbreak?
From the little info I can find, looks like they're opening up again, but my parcel hasn't moved yet. (shipped via EMS)
Received an e-mail from AliExpress this morning indicating tracking status had been updated. I thought that was rather unusual for a cheap package, until I looked at the details.
That's two weeks after the dispute window opens. China Post Ordinary Small Packet Plus.
Another package, China Post Registered Air Mail seems to be progressing relatively normally. I believe it's in NZ now, after shipping on the 24th.
Spoke too soon :( another package, which I thought I would get rather quick as my previous parcel

China post takes 50+ days these day, no matter registered or not
so far everything i ordered have all arrived
Not Aliexpress, but some T-shirts I ordered from the US in early-June went via Narita, and arrived in NZ on July 2. Since then, no movement.
In cases like this, is there any actual value in calling NZ Post or whoever and asking what's going on?

I don't know about you, but I find value in doing such things even if it only serves to validate my belief in their incompetence.

No point at all.
NZ POST have ZERO control over the package untill its actually handed over to them.
When NZPOST actually get their hands on it, that will show in NZ POSTs tracking info
It will be sitting in customs/port/container/ship/airport etc .
I recently had a package flagged for a NZ Biosecurity check. That added another 2 weeks delay, just sitting waiting for it to be checked
Banggood is about 7 days from order to home. Ordered headphones on the 6th of July , arrived on the 13th July. So the mail is moving from China.
Common sense is not as common as you think.
