Looks like Cainiao Standard For Special Goods for smaller items is pretty good, additional $1-2-3

Not sure why it's not showing, but it was shipped out on 18th Sep.

I still have another 5 items purchased in start/mid september with Ali standard shipping option, one parcel with China Post registered. And today another item with Cainiao Standard For Special Goods

I saw a new option ... "Aliexpress Selection Standard"

So I thought I would give it a try

Better than most other methods.

It is a higher price item, with a very reputable seller. So they are unlikely to be posting it via a dodgy channel.

(Unlike the previous item that bounced between sorting centres in China for about 2 months, then the Philippines for a week)

Now it's probably going to take this package more than a week to get delivered.

Recently discovered if you buy items via Cainiao Super Economy Global they get consolidated and upgraded to Aliexpress Standard. Which takes around 2 weeks to get delivered. Looks like AE stopped using UBI vessels for delivery and now using 4PX air delivery.

One item with ePacket also came in 2 weeks. Although China post regisrered and unregistered are unpredictable. Have purchased cheap multimeter in 07.07.2021 it was stuck in Shanghai for 80 days and this week was returned to Yiwu, got refunded. Yanwen is the same, since its using China post unregistered service.

Cainiao Standard for Speacial goods is using Sunyou, which uses China post registered. Sunyou is the worst service, they provide fake tracking.

Here is tracking on an item ordered 10 Aug: https://parcelsapp.com/en/tracking/LE765528277CN

What the . . .

I don't know what my package has been doing!  It somehow departed China on the 13th of August, got handed over to the airline on the 22nd of August and has now departed China on the 2nd of October.  On Tuesday it will be 8 weeks since I placed the order and I still don't know when to expect it to hit NZ.  This is truly rubbish service from China Post.

Take my advice: Don't have any order from AliExpress get sent by China Post!  Pay a little more for AliExpress shipping or buy from a different seller that uses AliExpress shipping.

The tracking info is accurate, you just need to know how to read it - see my earlier post in this thread, or perhaps some other thread, can't find it any more right now. In particular, different tracking services will report statuses differently, and NZ Post's summary of overseas progress is at best a rough approximation for major status changes, not a step-by-step overview, note "Departure from country of origin" for NZ Post vs "Exported" from China Post.

Also, you're seeing the status from the point of view of the carrier(s), not the parcel being tracked. "Exported" doesn't mean it's left the country, merely that its status has been changed. It could just mean that it's been moved into a bonded warehouse, or even that it was already sitting in a bonded warehouse and hasn't moved at all but that a database entry somewhere has been updated.

So the 13 August entry could mean its status has moved from domestic to international carriage, the 22 August could mean it's been moved into a warehouse run by the air carrier, and the 2 October that it's actually departed.

Or possibly re-warehoused awaiting carriage.

Had a bit of weirdness with a recent order, in that soon after I ordered the seller had deleted both the listing and their own store, despite recieving a tracking number (although there has been no updates at all). Suspect I won't get my items, so will just be a matter of waiting out the 60 or so days left until I get a refund

I've had this happen a few times, but I've still received the orders. I've also had sellers under-price items, lie about goods being in poor condition asking me to cancel, provide fake tracking numbers and keep the listing online. I'm not sure what their game is, but I've had the "poor quality" lie at least twice.

In my experience , this means the product is no longer available & the seller never had any & seller just found out he cant get any.
The tracking number will be fake  and you'll need to wait it out before you can apply for a refund .
Ive had that happen a few times .

While I haven't had suppliers who remove listings not deliver (just bad sellers who leave them up), you could also check if the seller has relisted the item or has multiple listings for the same item. With shipping being so variable at the moment, I wouldn't be surprised to see more of the free/cheap shipping listings disappearing when sellers realise they aren't making as much profit as they used to or they're being stung for packages not arriving on time. It's not unusual for there to be free shipping and paid shipping options for the same product from the same shop.

Ordered some items on the 14th of this month. NZ$21 including AliExpress Standard Shipping.

Notified this morning that they have landed in Auckland.

Now I wonder how long from there to here in Christchurch?

I got the same notification (flight from Guangzhou)

The last couple packages have taken 3 days before it reaches the local depot (in East Tamaki). Then the next day with courier.

I have another package sitting in the local depot for the last 3 days (sent from North Shore).

Seems Auckland processing is the bottleneck, due to L3.

One of my recent multiple Aliexpress orders that arrived this week..

I ordered 4 widgets , from 3 different Ali sellers. The 3 sellers gave me separate tracking numbers

Somehow , all 3 orders where put into a bigger baggie & all sent with a new single tracking number.
It was a bit confusing until I realized what happened , the initial tracking number changed to the single tracking number.

Sure enough, it arrived & Ali (or their courier) had put the 3 sellers baggies into a bigger baggie & sent that .
Pretty efficient really

I've been reading this thread since the beginning, but I don't recall anyone mentioning issues with parcels missing collections or being reallocated tracking numbers after the seller claimed the item had been shipped days earlier. Has anyone else noticed an increase in things like this? My orders this year a way down. I'm building an aeroponics sytem so I've placed about a dozen orders for various things in the past two weeks.

I've had a few instances in the past where new numbers have been issued, but I've had two this week, and two packages had failed pick up attempts. The latter concerns me as it may indicate the item won't ship (one has, apparently) and it means waiting until the delivery timeout or hoping AliExpress appropriately resolves disputes once the dispute window opens.

On an unrelated note, according to the tracking, an order from 16/10 is presently in transit to the local depot (AliExpress Standard Shipping). I am wondering if the item was already in NZ, but it does show international arrival.
