I have a Blunt now, but used to have a Senz which was fabulous in the Wellington wind and rain.

Geektastic: Swain, Adeney & Brigg.

Where else does a gentleman buy umbrellas?

Since you are asking: Fulton, the Queens umbrella.

Have stood up pretty well to Wellington weather so far, and was bought in Edinburgh on a less than calm day after just having wrecked a cheap umbrella.

Given all the mention of Blunt umbrellas, I've gotta put in a good word for what you got before Blunt existed, which was Knirps. Like Blunt, they also wind-tunnel test them to ridiculous wind speeds, I doubt you'd be able to hang onto one in a 120kmh wind. I've had my compact automatic for about 25 years, never leave home without it, including about 40 round-the-world trips. The only sign of wear is a few slight abrasion marks where it rubs against the ribs, but nothing else has had any problems.
