Flashcards get the thumbs up from me too... have ordered from them about 5 times and have been especially impressed with their quick delivery times... and free pens!
And no, I am not an undercover Flashcards employee or part of any other conspiracy either... Wink

consumer0928: Future viewers of this thread should be cautioned that some of the posts could have been posted by someone from Flashcards.

With 6000+ posts and a personal involvement in Geekzone for many years, I can confidently say that most of the people in this thread are well respected members of the community who have no involvement in Flashcards.co.nz and are personally known to me (not just online), and the remaining three that I dont know that well have either many hundreds of posts, or have been on Geekzone for a number of years (or both) and an involvement with a respected business like that would have been disclosed in a positive light long ago.

I'd bet my left one that ALL comments here are genuine (of course that includes your initial post).

There is no basis for thinking that any posts here are fakes from Flashcards.

I do not know of any company I deal with that makes EVERY customer happy EVERY time. It is basically an impossibility in any kind of high volume sales business.

Every business discussed on Geekzone has its good stories and bad stories.

Its nice to see that there are not heaps of "me too" posts regarding bad service at Flashcards - perhaps this is a potential indicator that your situation was a relative rarity, and that Flashcards.co.nz is generally a fantastic business to deal with.

I have been put off buying from them on a couple of occassions as they only stock cheap aftermarket Nikon batteries where I would prefer the manufacturer's original, and when I took exception to a comment somewhere on the site where they imply that Transcend (among several other admittedly less trusted brands) is an inferior 'second tier' manufacturer.

Having said that, on the occassions when I have dealt with them I have had absolutely no problems. I personally would rather buy from Ascent as they have a better range and their prices seem to be similar but I wouldn't discourage anyone from dealing with Flashcards.

Great experiences with flashcards, right from buying my 32, 64 nd 128 megabyte Smartmedia cards back in their early days right up until recently purchasing 8GB units. I have heard nothing but good things about them from others though Taniwha's comment post does interest me.

There aren't many companies I have had consistent good service from but flashcards.co.nz would be one.

I can vouch for Tonyhughes and most others, they have no affiliation to flashcards.

I've used them 4-5 times over the past couple of years. Always had great service and I'm constantly suprised when I place an order late in the afternoon and the item still arrives the next day.

Hi All,

Jason here from Flashcards.

I wouldn't normally do this as we try and keep customer relations a private matter. However, I felt compelled to reply in this case because the facts have been so grossly mis-represented. I will not go into the details but suffice it to say that the whole story is not being told by the original poster.

I can assure you all, Flashcards goal has been and always will be 100% customer satisfaction. We try to go above and beyond the call of duty on every occasion but as many of you have pointed out, no matter how hard you try you will never please customers 100% of the time.

In response to the comment that our website feedback is moderated - OF COURSE it is!! You'd be surprised at the number of trolls and false posts we get from competitors and pranksters alike. We also delete (or simply reply to online) what we consider to be false or misleading information. Every site I know of with a feedback system monitors it for abuse - or at least they should.

is a prime example of a less than glowing testimonial that has been replied to but not deleted. We of course monitor and reply to each and every post to make sure that we help any customers that require assistance.

Thank you guys for all of your positive comments and we look forward to serving our very loyal customer base for years to come. In this day and age of 'fly by night' companies, you can be sure that Flashcards are in this for the long haul.

Thanks Jason, it's always good to hear from the companies that are discussed in the forums, for better or worse it's nice to know that the opinions in this forum are being heard.

It did seem the tone of the original post is very rantypants. If they had said "I had a bad experience, is this common for this company?" there could have been a discussion rather than a ruckus.
