tukapa1: The Beatles Helter Shelter by Mötley Crüe.
Their cover of Smokin' In The Boys Room is pretty good too.
The Saints punk rock version of the classic Tina Turner River deep mountain high
Haims live cover of Fleetwood Macs Oh Well
I love the studio version of this by Joe Cocker better than INXS

This is a great thread!
Going to throw these two out there...
Thunderstruck:
Highway to Hell (featuring Steve Vai)
Can thoroughly recommend going to see them live. Great fun night out!
Is it a cover if it features a cameo from the band that did it? Billie Joe Armstrong did a bunch of covers during the earlier days of Covid 19 and he managed to get Susanna Hoffs (who still looks amazing!) of the Bangles to join in!
Everyone must have seen this one at least once!
Prince was an absolute maestro.
Dave Brubeck Quartet apparently playing a cover of The Stranglers' "Golden Brown".
As per the OP this has to be my favorite, I also have it as being played at my funeral I feel so strongly about it.
Ding Ding Ding Ding Ding : Ice cream man , Ice cream man
These covers aren't too bad...
The Scorpions Tin Soldier (Small faces Cover). They also do a cover of the Rolling Stones Ruby Tuesday
The Angels We've Gotta Get Out of this place
Leo Moracchioli feat. Rabea & Hannah Africa (Toto). The Live version is quiet good as well.
Disturbed Land of Confusion (Genesis)
Does Gallows Pole by Led Zeppelin count? I love that song. It is actually an English folk song that is reputed to be hundreds of years old.
And this Artist does a lot of covers (Queen, G'n'R, Led Zep, Doors) as well, and all on piano

and the Page and Plant is probably the best cover.
Common sense is not as common as you think.
I never got the hype around Cash doing Hurt, NIN version leaves it for dead. Then again it would be a boring old world if we all had the same taste.
A couple of favs as a QOTSA fan.

I was 5 when this came out. Almost the epitome of the music from my childhood! Still love hearing it today.
