It's useful to at least learn German so you can appreciate Rammstein properly.

I know German already (at least, to roughly a B1/B2 level).
當然,但我肯定會設置中文。😁
- NET: FTTH, OPNsense, 10G backbone, GWN APs, ipPBX
- SRV: 12 RU HA server cluster, 0.1 PB storage on premise
- IoT: thread, zigbee, tasmota, BidCoS, LoRa, WX suite, IR
- 3D: two 3D printers, 3D scanner, CNC router, laser cutter
cddt:You'll find that was just a test and based on previous tests of a similar nature you won't even notice the intermittent flashing light.

MadEngineer: This is a photo I took of their DC many moons ago. Managers only pretended to care.
That is an odd looking door. There is no obvious latch. Is it a cavity slider? or the closer is on the other side?
I see wires at the top like the usual open detection.
None of that arrangement looks appetizing for the average consumer. I've seen a few supermarket storage areas. I've seen nothing like that.
Looks like a concrete tilt-slab wall; I doubt it's a cavity slider.
I think 'DC' is 'distribution centre', so no customers expected.
Just a push? Might be an intermediate door between one part of the building to another, but without a need for a lock.
If there's a butchery, bakery, or bottling section, the door may be monitored to make sure it stays closed to prevent contamination/pests. The old foodstuffs Upper Hutt distribution centre had a coke bottling plant in which I imagine was quasi-cleanroom. I don't think this is that facility, though.

Unfortunately that's all Greek to me, despite having ancestry of the language's main speakers.
"I regret to say that we of the F.B.I. are powerless to act in cases of oral-genital intimacy, unless it has in some way obstructed interstate commerce." — J. Edgar Hoover
"Create a society that values material things above all else. Strip it of industry. Raise taxes for the poor and reduce them for the rich and for corporations. Prop up failed financial institutions with public money. Ask for more tax, while vastly reducing public services. Put adverts everywhere, regardless of people's ability to afford the things they advertise. Allow the cost of food and housing to eclipse people's ability to pay for them. Light blue touch paper." — Andrew Maxwell

That happened on my work computer too. It's still in English. Looks like Microsoft must have broken something...
Well don't swap over to Skype because Microsoft is shutting it down in May Skype is shutting down after two decades
Looks like it is over to What's App for Desktop. Which is going to be interesting educating some of our families over 80's who desktop video their kids & grandkids all over the world and have done so for years. One lot don't even have a mobile phone.
Whilst the difficult we can do immediately, the impossible takes a bit longer. However, miracles you will have to wait for.

Noooooh! Microsoft? Surely not!
What?
if it were me being asked to provide ID in this same situation (unlikely - I’m white), I’d respond it exactly the same way. Has anyone been asked to provide ID when they’ve purchased a TV, for example? The only time they should be doing that is at the time of presenting a credit card
Groceries are expensive. I'm more surprised that the $1000 threshold isn't hit more frequently.
Delete cookies?! Are you insane?!
From the article:
'We didn't explain this properly' - Pak'n Save
In a statement posted to social media on Tuesday, an unnamed spokesperson said Pak'n Save Whanganui acknowledged Williams' experience "and take this opportunity to provide some clarity".
"Under tax legislation introduced in 2023, businesses are required to collect certain details for purchases over $1,000 to ensure compliance with tax rules. Unfortunately, in this instance, we didn't explain this properly, and we sincerely regret the frustration and confusion caused.
Can't say I've run across this before but I'm also not in the habit of spending $1k in person.
I would expect this to be KYC/AML not tax requirements.
