Today's Whiskey moment is brought to you by a Monster Truck show in Tauranga.

Monster truck company hits back after Tauranga show; says no refunds will be given

People are complaining that a Monster Truck show was sub-par and didn't live up to the billing.

The response from the promoter has been...interesting.

A company behind a much-maligned Monster Truck show on tour in New Zealand appears to have taken an aggressive approach to complaining customers - describing the Tauranga venue as a “s***hole” and criticising New Zealanders’ attitudes, saying “no wonder virtually nothing comes to your country”.

Getting a second "Household" census form in the mail today.  So now I have two addressed to this household, with a different Household Private Access Code on each.

Nice work Stats.  *facepalm*

We got a second form today as well. The second one has slightly different wording suggesting we should already have received one (which we did) and may have already filled it (which we haven't).

It also says "Use any access code provided to your household [...]".

They're taking the blanket or scattergun approach I guess.

Mine was left in the mailbox so I will see what condition its in once it has dried out. Morons sending to that when everything I have with the govt has a postal address of my PO Box. Suprised it didnt blow away since there is no door on the mailbox with all the wind we have had around when it was delivered.

Mine was hand-delivered. It's possible that they put it in the letterbox if you weren't home.

Aliexpress shipping:

Edited to add: And that's not a mistake, it was reassigned a Czech Post tracking number once it got from China to the Czech Republic so it really is in Prague at the moment.

Hope it doesn't end up being delivered to a hamlet in rural Estonia like a previous shipment was.

Looks like you selected Cainiao Super Economy Global. Expect a long wait if it's got a CZ tracking number.

I wouldn't assume the package actually was in the Czech Republic, it may be an administrative thing.

A product that I've bought before used to come with a 25 ml measuring cup, and the packaging said to take 4 cups (which equals 100 ml). Now they've got rid of the cup and updated the packaging, which now says to take 9 tablespoons, which works out at 135 ml. As far as I'm aware, the product itself is identical!

I was looking at a jar of peanut butter today.

1) Ingredients: Peanuts 99.5%, Salt
2) Immediately adjacent to that: Warning Contains Peanuts

Now, I realise that people have allergies but that seems to verging on the obvious. It’s also called Peanut Butter.

Then there was a special orangutan virtue Mark because the rainforest where they live wasn’t harmed.

However the peanuts came from Australia or Argentina. Neither of which actually have any orangutans…. So they could not possibly have been harmed by making the peanut butter.

But I miss the vegan sticker and that it's gluten-free.

One might presume they might have checked out the venues as to whether or not they were suitable before arranging to hold the event there.

Kinda think that statement is an own goal.

Equally, they could have said...

Contains Salt. Also no unicorns were injured during the making of this peanut butter, however many small children may have been :-)
