At home I have nothing of interest behind me so just leave it without a filter or background. In the office I usually use the blur, mainly as respect for the privacy of those people behind me. They don’t need to be broadcast to everyone on my call.

Early in the pandemic when we were all getting used to WFH we used to have a changing theme for some recurring meetings just to add interest. It could have been:

• favourite holiday destination
• favourite album cover
• etc….

was good but we got bored of it pretty quickly.
