Just a quote from the article NickH1976 posted from the Kiwi Nostaliga website, and if you read it, the footnote states it's purely speculative.

I'm all for people being able to eat whatever they want... Joe tubby Public can have his/her diabetes, muffin-top midsections, man-breasts, heart attacks and cancer. That's what true freedom is.

That's true freedom alright, but the almighty tax payer probably wouldn't be too pleased to foot the bill for that addiction.

Anyone remember the Georgie Pie in Porirua, next to the railway line? It was enterprise cars, and is now turning into a McDonalds site with 75 car park for customers.

I finally can get McDonalds on the way home and not have to get out of the car Tongue out

Quote from Nostalga website:

"Most Kiwis don’t actually want Georgie Pie to re-open. They just wish they were still teenagers"

Err, no. I actually want to put a $1 Mince and Cheese pie in my mouth and eat it.

Remember Cobb 'N Co? You don't see me parading about them!

I suspect after listening to the guy on Radio live try to restart Georgie Pie that McDs will do all it can to block the use of "their" trade name of Georgie Pie. So don't expect to see anything soon..

as they haven't used their trademark for a decade, an argument could be made it has lapsed? I think something like that has done before, but the time period probably needs to be a lot longer?
