Does anyone actually like to eat feijoas?
Big fan here. They are the most under-appreciated fruit outside the Garden of Eden!
Plesse igmore amd axxept applogies in adbance fir anu typos
I quite like them, but wife hates the smell.
Feijoas are great. Once a year I give my guts a real working over by stewing a huge pot of them, while eating half of them in the process.

Love them. Unfortunately they’re quite sugary though.
Every now and then I'll try a samosa in thr hope that next one ends up tasting as good as they look. Had a vegetable one tonight and it was the same as all the others I've had - dry and needing a drink to help swallow it.
That was until I ate it with the curry I also had on my plate - what a difference.
Are they normally dry? Maybe they're supposed to be eaten with something saucy like a curry?
I don't know where this belongs. but I couldn't find a "Thanks to the Moderators" thread here.
Thanks to the Mod who fixed the formatting of my post in the Stuff etc Headlines Thread.
I've previously tried to do that and ended up with a disaster, so I decided I don't have enough years left on this planet to try now.
Thanks from someone who is grateful for all you do.

They are one of my favourite fruits. That aromatic flavour is juts amazing. I eat them straight up of course and I also make feijoa crumble and feijoa vodka.

gzt: ... That said I don't ever recall having a samosa that I'd describe as 'dry'. I wonder if you're experiencing the pie-in-the-warmer-all-day effect or something similar ; ).
Can't comment on "the real deal" from India, but compared to South Africa, the samoosa's here in NZ definitely are "drier" and the pastry is more "pasty" than crisp & crunchy. I also believe the content has more moisture

South Africa, the samoosa
A South African at work calls them "samoosas", pronounced as if it had an extra O, and we always just considered that to be one of her own idiosyncrasies. Is that a common pronunciation in SA, or did you just make a typo?
Aussie tolls, are these rates normal? Maybe I should have pre-paid the tolls on the car we hired?
