hi there, just a quick question.
i have broken the wires at the very end of the 3.5mm headphone jack.
is it easy to replace the wire?
o------     <-- 3.5mm jack for ipod
       I  <--- here wire has split

budget diagram i know.
any references from web pages or something would be good. just wondering if its an easy repair. if not ill buy a new set of surround sound 5.1's

If you have solder and an iron, and the wires are not minute... not that difficult.

the sub and one speaker now works. 2nd speaker wont play....

It sounds like you only have electrical contact on two of the three terminals. Standard 3.5mm stereo audio jacks have three terminals : left, right and common. Either the left or the right terminal has a bad connection.
