Changing power/gas company - can anyone give me some opinions or thoughts on Nova Energy?

Consumer Powerswitch says Nova's the biggest saving to us - but I don't want to deal with them if they don't have good service or customer service etc - I just don't know anyone with them to give me their honest thoughts on them...

Thanks :P

They've been fine for me.

Phone them up
They deliver
You get invoice and pay
Done.

Simple, easy.

We're with them and find them pretty good to deal with. Really friendly staff on the phone; sign up was pretty easy. They did however spell my wife's name wrong on the application, and (for whatever reason) this seemed to be difficult to change. Not exactly the world's biggest deal. No issues at all since, though we're on direct debit and have had virtually no dealings directly with them since. Power and gas come in, money goes out, no fuss. And as you say, competitive pricing. We also rather like the fact they they are taking gas (biomass?) from the southern landfill to help generate electricity.

My mother is also with them however and she had a bit of a difficult experience. The meter reader read her meter wrong (thousands of units out - transposing a couple of digits I think). She got billed accordingly and she had something of a hassle with getting the money refunded (didn't happen at all, then when she complained got it twice...).

So a mixed response for you.
