c71931f: Phone them ?:)

Alas I'm a driver (use of cellphones while driving illegal), and I don't get breaks, so couldn't really.

But just went into Repcos "Biggest sale in repco history!! (on now (up to 50% off))" - and noticed a lot of price tags missing - and thought that they were missing as the prices are now discounted or something, and I asked what discount is there off any car audio, and was told none, that sale finished 24th dec. The stuff we have discounted now is on that table over there (the usual discount table).

There was no posters or anything saying xx% off this and that, so for the biggest sale in repco history there appeared to be nothing much on sale??

That IS illegal, Comradehunt. The Fair Trading Act says that is illegal to state special pricing with no intention of actually providing it (obviously not in those words) so you could well dob them in for it.

Their ad/poster says "up to 50% off", but it doesn't say "up to 50% off everything", but is that implied?

I mean if they just have a few things discounted up to 50% on the table then they have done what they said?

However I guess in that case thats not then going to be the "biggest sale in repco history", as in the past they have done 25% off everything in store, which is what I was hoping this one was going to be so I could get a resonator, however "up to 50% off" I thought I could buy some speakers to replace my defunct original ones.

If there *IS* up to 50% off everything, then the guy who I spoke to there obviously was a noob/or had no clue what their "biggest sale in repco history" actually was, and I didn't see anything obvious like other stores had clearly stating what was discounted.

Just a bit off topic, but this thread should have been called "Any Knockout Boxing Day deals?" :)
