I was watching shortland street last friday and when it finished, straight away i turned onto tv3 to watch america's next top model and it had already started. my clock said shortland street finished after 7.30pm. So which clocks do tvnz and tv3 use and who has the right time?

Shortland street always seems to run late.
My HTPC is set to start recording 3 mins before a program is due to start, if you set it to record.
If it is something at 7.30 when it comes time watch the recording I always have to fast forward at least 5 mins, usually more, to get to the end of Shortland Street.

I don't know if there is a way of working out TVNZ/TV3 clock... I suppose if you did have their offset from the true time, you could adjust the guides, but I suspect shows sometimes start late with or without accuate clocks.

I use a registry patch that I found on these forums (think it was from regs)
It makes windows sync the clock daily:
86400 (decimal)
