The Worst Job In New York: Immigrant America

VICE News

"Milking cows is a dirty, monotonous job, and as we found out in our latest episode of Immigrant America, it's not a job many unemployed Americans are willing to do.

But for some reason the government doesn't give dairy farms a way to recruit foreign workers legally, so most feel forced to hire illegal immigrants. This makes the farms and their workers easy targets for immigration authorities looking to fill deportation quotas.

We went to upstate New York to try to understand the cat and mouse game going on between dairy farms and immigration authorities.

We found a lot of wasted taxpayer money, racial profiling, and a broken system that unnecessarily treats family farmers and hardworking immigrants like criminals."

Convincing deepfake videos are now possible from single images. It can only be a matter of time until Donald Trump starts tweeting videos of Biden having sex with animals.

Edit: Tried to insert the above video. Don't know why it didn't work. Here is the link (well worth watching):

Who knows? It might even be possible to make a fake video showing Trumpy not lying one day.

That would definitely break the Internet.

My how the decades fly ...

The Chills (or one of them anyway) - live at KEXP Seattle, recorded in March, released a couple of weeks ago.

A feature of the "Dunedin Sound" was "lo-fi", so here we are, The Chills - 30+ years on, in a remarkably hifi recording.

Spoken word poem about racism in New Zealand clocks half a million views

Guardian News

‘Yesterday I was African, today I am lost’, New Zealand student Takunda Muzondiwa tells the Auckland audience.

A video of her spoken word poem about the racism she has faced in New Zealand has clocked up over half a million views.

'Maybe I was blinded by the neon sign of opportunity, failed to read the fine print that read: “assimilate or go back where you came from”.’

Her speech was part of the New Zealand Human Rights Commission annual Race Unity Speech awards where six of New Zealand’s best high school speakers addressed how race relations can be improved.

She delivered a poem she wrote to ‘the man who sat behind me on the train last week who had the audacity to touch my hair without even asking’.

I thought this was pretty cool. YouTube vlogger Mr JWW driving a road legal Aston Martin Vulcan on the Montenegro to Venice leg during the Gumball 3000. The Vulcan is usually a track only car, but a customer asked Aston Martin to modify there's for use on the road.

This video is bit of a walk around on what was done to make the car road legal
