Take the experience in the current climate...

I'm currently completing an Honours degree after completing my undergrad degree last year.

So far the majority of students in my class (40 students) have no jobs secured next year.

We are all starting to wonder what will become of us. Will we be forced into becoming academics e.g. next year continue onto masters (one more year writing our Thesis) and then -> PhD, while having no practical experience what so ever?
