The team at Christchurch Paranormal Investigators NZ (C.P.I.N.Z) would use this device on a test and trial basis, as a hub for our communications center, whilst in the field doing investigations. If the device doesn't cause us any interference during our investigations we would look at implementing this permanently.
Thank you.

I would love to win this, because simply put, I'm an awesome, poor student.

Would make life so much easier when I travel, having both my laptop at cellphone.

A geek should never be without a connection to the world, and the Internet is one of those connections!

Did anyone actually win the  Mifi? That competition was a great idea. Pity I saw it later in the piece.

I will sit by the sea, climb the highest mountains, sail to the edge of the world not far from here, and write little missives on my ipad and send them all around. I would share the wifi with the Eskimos and we would 'ipadit' from ice flows. In the South seas cruising on an Island boat I would let my daughter send photos of the setting sun to her Mum sitting on the beach with her iphone. In windy Wellington in a Cafe I would invite the most interesting people to 'share the lurv the wifi lurve' and game together an afternoon, while the city weathers another storm. In Invercargill with the true 'end of world' people of the southern most town I would host a wifi party to connect with all the other end of world city people. A wifi party in Invercargil, and persuade Steve Jobs to send us all iphones. Then at the last armed with the ipad with all apps available for the most desperate of comms, my friends with the iphones, my wife watching from an aeroplane, and my daughter on the ground staring up wards looking at live video on her ipod I would: Bungee jump from the Sky city in Auckland while talking on mobile VOIP on my iphone screaming into the camera recording my fall communicating with my wife in the plane, my daughter on her ipod, and a group call to my friends. Just for fun.

I would use this to keep in contact with my newly founded film production company, because we do not meet up enough due to our fultime jobs this would allow me to keep in contact more and would help our workflow.

I would use it to offer free Wifi using my postpaid datacard to anyone who wanted it while I travel daily on the bus like all the other commuters.  Since I've already had enough kids I would hold it in my pocket which would not only keep me warm, but ensure no more mini-bartenders could happen.
On Tuesday and Thursday I would also don the tin-foil yagi hat to ensure better coverage since what is mobile data when you don't have full bars.
You could just call me the full-bar-tender.

I would use it to make my car at wi-fi hotspot for my travels this summer.
I have a router that has a hotspot system installed in it strapped to the inside of my boot and this would power the internet feed nicely. Have been looking for something like this.
I am staying at a very busy camp that does'nt supply a hotspot this xmas and plan to beam the camp from my car and make enough for my travels, of course the cost would be more than a adsl connection for the user, but better than nothing.

It'll be excellent for all of the iDevices in our family!
Especially when were traveling up and down the country together.

OK, I NEED this or I am going to go crazy !

Recently purchased an Android 7" tablet for testing Flash/AIR and out and about usage.  It works great but has no 3G so I thought no probs can use my WinMo phone as a 3G router.  Thats where the fun begins.

Wifi hotspot on my phone is AdHoc only and Android tablet does not have Adhoc enabled by default.  So root the tablet, get in an edit the wlan driver config and wpa setttings and presto after finally getting the right settings it bursts into life !  But then whenever you connect to a new wireless network Android just goes and writes over the changes required to keep Adhoc working aargh !

Its all getting too hard please, 2degrees and Geekzone ease my pain so while I am out and about I can check email and keep up with the latest on Geekzone !

(recent 2degrees convert)

This would be invaluable for my long suffering role as  S.A.P...Spouse And Parent Tech Support.

My mother could get hold of me whenever I'm out, so that I can obey her command to 'log in and fix my computer' which usually means either a) un-minimzing the web browser b) emptying her trash or c) retrieving an item that shouldn't be in the trash.

My wife could then also her netbook at the local cafe, so that her trademe bidding could carry on unhindered, save for brief bouts of checking gossip sites (a.k.a 'important international news) and passing comment on the husbands habit of buying lattes ('flat whites are cheaper').

This router would also be ideal for internet access at work, where a two minute YouTube video takes an eon to load. Entire mornings of productivity have been lost by a workmate innocently saying 'hey you should watch this video...and also, I seem to have put something in the trash, can you find it for me...?'

(to be honest I'm probably going to buy a Netcomm 3GTWn for all these reasons...but the 2degress router sure looks awesome!)
