Instinct has created a mobile version of Wikipedia available for your phone.

With over 1,025,291 entries it’s got pretty much everything you could want to know about, from mercantilism to New Zealand history to Fraggle Rock. Wikipedia on a mobile is great for amazing your friends, cheating in pub quizzes, boning up before a job interview, or impressing your date by telling them exactly how tall a fraggle is (about 55cm). Okay, maybe not that last one, but definitely worth a look. Don’t start quoting Wikipedia as the source of all truth, though, since the entries aren’t checked by professionals before they’re published.

Point your cellphone Web browser to www.3g.co.nz/wiki to feed your brain. Free to use, though of course you’ll pay to surf the Web from your phone...

ps. This is only a beta version and we'd like your feedback. We strongly believe that an app as powerful and useful as this should be linked off the Telecom WAP porta. If you agree then please let me know.
