I have a Sony z610. It's a great little phone, but is getting on in years. And my partner has an iPhone 4 which is giving me a decent case of phone-envy!
Hopefully I win this phone and return the favor! :D
Lets hope they fixed the screen mechanical sensitivity on these devices. My HTC magic crapped out after sitting down with the thing in my pocket after a few days and before you ask......NO I was not putting pressure on the phone, the screen did not crack and was not marked in any way it simply beeped and the internal screen went phutt!
Vodafone at least replaced it but with an Iphone, good interface but its got appalling coverage!
I currently have an old Motorola that is the antithesis to a smart phone. Calls are dropped or not received and loading WAP takes about 5 minutes per click. I might be deserving of this great handset. Thanks 2degrees
Me too! My first iphone, and I'm stoked! That display is something else... puts all my other smartphones/pda's to shame. Could do with that Android for my wife though ;-) She's real jealous of my iphone.
ajobbins: The fantastic Apple iPhone 4, with the brilliant Retina display capable to displaying the Geekzone website stunningly well for a mobile device.
We could really do with this for testing as we are short on testing devices. Plus it would be for users to test applications at the Auckland Android Dev Group!
Anyone remember the days of the old ipaq with mono screen and a whole 16mb of ram - i brought one of these with the PCMCIA expansion pack it tuned the device into the size of a small house!
I am currently using a Nokia N97 Mini. I love Nokia phones and this is my third N Series device... but this N97 Mini is giving me grief.
All of my N Series phones were less than perfect out of the box, however Nokia alway regularly released new firmware and usually within about 6 weeks, all was well. And, with the release of additional firmware, the devices just kept getting better and better with age.
Unfortunately, this isn't the case with the N97 Mini. There have been several firmware releases for my device, since I've owned it (about 9 months) and none of them are available, either to me here in New Zealand or for my specific release of phone.
For the first time - after approx. 15 years of loyalty and approx. 6 handsets - I'm seriously thinking of dropping this brand.
Recently got a new Nokia N97. Its already run out of main memory where many of the apps install themselves by default. No money for a microSD at the moment, and I still haven't worked out where to find the voip option for making free calls despite having set up the voip already. Many of the Symbian apps are not free either, or link to a website thats not free. Open source is the way to go!!
I am using an iPhone 3G (black) and it is sloww... always keen to try Android, i entered the 2degrees competition for this phone but haven't got luck:( well count me in for this one and see if this will be my xmas toy. :p
