I think they box them up as well as they can and sell them slightly cheaper. I got my 3rd computer that way. Was $500 on sale, bargained another $70 off because it was already used, and got an extended warranty with it. Lol. It was in mint condition, dont even think they turned it on because it needed to be set up and all. Still a good bargain. Was the last one in Auckland too if I remember and I had to drive to DSE near the city to get it.

Yeah, but they have to send them back to the warehouse dont they?

Since thats in albany I guess I will check out the ones near albany in the week after xmas for bargains. I want a weather station.

mattRSK: I think I will avoid all forms of retail this year. Might even watch the cricket.

Probably. The one I got had courier stickers all over it, it was sent to the shop about a week before I got it so the warehouse must of gave it to the store then? So long as the product has a warranty and works fine then I'm all for buying pre-opened stuff. My "brand new" laptop was opened by customs, come to think of it, every computer I've owned has been opened by someone but me. Lol.

More memory foam pillows from Briscoes, if they have decent ones. I'll get in early before stuff disappears.

They might have one of those $288 (I think thats how much it was, it was just under $200 and cost as much as my 2nd gen iPod touch when I got it on the same day) HP Mini's. Sweet deal.

I think I will give my Visa card and nerves a rest and avoid them this year. Dived in boots-n-all last year and found no great deals at all, at least nothing that I couldn't get any other day of the week by shopping around or a bit of haggling.

Maybe splash out on that winning Lotto ticket! Ha ha

All their online prices will be updated at 6pm

Any indication on the price of the 845 from the warehouse? If the 25% is off the $168 it makes it a steal.

If they do 20% off every second week - I'm hoping for something special on-line, otherwise it'll just be business as per usual.
