Speaking of television, I just hold of Red Dwarf series 5-8 (haven't seen 5, 7 or 8). Should I indulge and start watching again right from the start or should I just watch the ones I haven't seen before?

Just start watching from when you left off... ive got the boxed sets somewhere, love the show altho started losing its charm about around S4....
