My 2.5year old bosch microwave/convection oven has broken down twice.

The first time, the magnetron failed, and the service guy said it was common with my model.

The second time, was microwaving the babies milk for 40 seconds, and the microwave glass just shattered. No idea why, but, it must have been arcing to do that .

Don't like the bosch controls that much - visitors often have to ask how to use the microwave as it is not obvious.

But, apart from the break downs, and the controls are no problem if you know how it works, the actual oven itself is pretty good.

Miele might be better if price is an indication though.

was it the turntable or the door that shattered? Turntable is no biggie, have been thru a few myself on various brands.

My biggest gripe is that no new ones do the feature one of my old ones had where whatever you nuked came back to you, instead of just stopping whereever
