I was in 'Facelift', 'Kareoke High' a Kiwibank Commercial and several scenes in 'King Kong'.

My mothers cousins are 'The Chicks'.
My wife's family is related to Jim Hickey the weatherman and the other Hickey (the money guy).

Apparently on my family's side way back we are related to Sir Francis Drake (dunno if that's true or not).

Definition of famous: having a widespread reputation, usually of a favorable nature; renowned; celebrated: a famous writer

I'm pretty sure half a second on the TV3 early bird show doesn't count there Gavin? :P

I managed to get on TV a few times in 2005/6
That's about it as far as anyone remotely close goes....
I also once dated a close friend of the chick who became Ladyhawke, can I claim that?
Tongue out

SepticSceptic: How far back ? I have a Count somewhere down the lineage ... A German ambassador to Russia, and was assassinated, and the assassination signaled the beginning of the revolt of the Left Socialist-Revolutionaries in Moscow in 1918, and the deposing of the Russian Royal family

So if your Count had behaved himself and not got himself assassinated, Russia would still have a royal family, there would have been no USSR, progroms, purges, Stalin, gulags, cold war etc etc. Man you have a lot to answer for. What a burden for your family to bear. :)

And the Russians might have had the first man on the moon.

Aye, tis a tough burden, but I'm well balanced - I have a chip on each shoulder ...

The peasants are always revolting, so there would have been an upheaval one way or another.

My thoughts are no longer my own and is probably representative of our media-controlled government

Well I had a cousin in the 1980s who was an All Black (he married my cousin) Paul Koteka

And in the 1990s my cousin Natalie Brunt was News presenter for TV1 news she ended up marring a Yugoslavian guy (my old man was proud she married a dally) who is a musician and they moved to America. Still living in Los Angeles.  Edit: 1980's not 90s if I remember right.

And im pretty famous (stupid) for getting to drunk one night and taking on a $10 bet to run up the main street of town naked with only my gumboots on.

Worst Response To A Crisis:
From a readers' Q and A column in TV GUIDE: "If we get involved in a nuclear war, would the electromagnetic pulses from exploding bombs damage my videotapes?"

I pulled a hand gun out when I was on stage in front of a national party AGM in 1999 - I'm sure they remember that still!

I was also the most successful (and maybe still am) patient in NZ on human growth hormone - my height from 3ft 10 to 5ft 7 was only because of HGH drugs, otherwise I probably wouldn't have survived my 20's (body would have shut down).

billgates: My cousin's lotto shop sold the $17 million lotto ticket couple of weeks ago. He was on TV, radio, newspaper.

I have always wondered if the shops get a nice kickback for something like that?

They don't. But his weekly sales have gone up (nearly doubled).

Do whatever you want to do man.

Somewhere, way up the chain of my family, is the guy that wrote Peter Pan. Does that count?

I am related to Alexander Graham Bell on my mother's side. No fame since then, however.

Here my closest moment to fame! Made it to page 2! At least it was a BIG photo. Sign was put up AFTER falling off!

Let it be a warning to you all.
