Nothing will be done, and in years to come it will be too late. It will get to a point of being non-reversible

global warming is a myth... now this is where p2p comes in handy as you can find some great documentaries on it showing how some scientists fabricated their data and others showed the real data that warming happens in cycles naturally.. mans impact to the warming was minimal in their new study.. like 1% of the warming

some docos to hunt out are global warming swindle for starts

shows how wrong al gore chart was

jesse ventura has also exposed parts of it in one episode showing how carbon credits could be sold and bought between companies and was a way to generate more money from people

also dig up a documentary from BBC horizon called GLOBAL DIMMING.. it shows how mans pollution is acting like clouds and cooling the earth ad thus removing the pollution will do the reverse..

again one never gets to see the good stuff on our tvs.. and when it is much of its edited in a way that it changes the bias on it..

p2p rules for real source of information.. you never get to hear about. web is good too but cant beat a good docu on it and nicer to watch and listen and see examples then read pages of stuff and try to work out the tech stuff.

I fully agree with Kiwigeek1 that global warming is a myth.  I believe there are cycles the earth goes through with temp changes.  But global warming by man is a myth BUT it means BIG money fpr those on the bandwagon so they will do all they can including lying about data so they can get rich

Ragnor: I like this approach
http://www.mightyape.co.nz/product/Book/Poles-Apart-Beyond-the-Shouting-Whos-Right-About-Climate-Change/2553210/

Hmm, I'd like to read this. Too bad there isn't a digital version for sale that I can see. $37.99 is a you've-got-to-be-joking price for a book.

As for Climate Change? I remember reading somewhere that the volcano in Iceland which recently erupted and disrupted all the air travel spewed out more C02 than the entire human population has in the last 50 years combined.

This makes it difficult for me to believe anything that scientists are publishing at the moment. Surely there is emission from humanity, but it is on such a small scale compared to the natural world that actually thinking we're changing Earth's climate makes me feel like there is someone out there with a god complex.

As far as I understand it, the fact that the earth is heating up is not in dispute. The earth has always been through heating and cooling periods. The problem is that instead of taking hundreds or thousands of years, they are now taking decades so all the carefully balanced systems that occur in the natural world are being thrown out of wack.

I think it's too simplistic to argue whether global warming is a myth or not. Seems to me there's three key questions:

Is global warming happening? i.e. is the earth actually getting warmer?

If so, is it due in any significant way to the actions of people?

Is so, can we do anything about it?

I think there's strong evidence to suggest the answer to the first question is yes, and some evidence to support the second one, but have severe doubts about the third.

My regret is that the entire environmental movement has become completely fixated on global warming, in part because it's nice and easy to come up with some numbers around it, e.g. how many tonnes of CO2 in your carbon footprint, and humans like that sort of thing. But this has been at the expense of all the other environmental causes we used to worry about, such as ensuring biodiversity or reducing pollution. Having said that it doesnt seem as extreme as it was a couple of years ago.

If humans are doing so much damage and governments are so worried, why is no one talking population control? Maybe there is just no money in it?

Global warming or climate change? They are not the same thing.

Well, if Close Up says it's true then it must be trueSmile.

TBH while I don't dispute the fact that man made greenhouse gases have some effect on climate and I can't accept that they play any major role in climate change.

Cycles much bigger than what is predicted at the moment have been happening for sooo long that if one were to consider the emperical evidence, this seems far more likely for any major change.

Put it this way, I see man made global warming like the little kid who wants to help Dad - Dad does 99% of the work and the little kid does 1% and gets the credit.

hehehe global warming turned out to be crap, so they renamed it to climate change!

"Oi! Bob! Our global warming theory has been proven to be full of it!!! How do we pay for our Bentlys now?!"

"No sweat Fred, lets call it climate change now! The hippies will lap that up!"
