Anyone know how to tell if you have got triple phase power from looking at the meterbox? There is nothing on the meter that says what phase it is, but it does have 3x230/400 V on the meter. It does also have a dual meter for day and night.

if you have an oven, there is a good chance you are already using a triple phase power connection.....

Can you see the wires going into your meter, if so are they red, blue and yellow? Also your fuse board should be labeled R,B,Y or some combination of.

Ovens dont mean 3 phase power, most places have an oven and are on single phase.

A domestic oven wouldn't be on three phase power, would it ?

Nah definitely not :)  possibly some older ovens in the United States, but here nah, or if you were using a commercial oven at home...damn that would be a nice idea 

Think this thread was pretty much sorted on Sunday though(see the one below it named the same thing)

Turns out it's a 3 phase meter, but not sure if the person has installed 3 phase wiring to the farm shed 

I have moved across the ditch.  Now residing in Melbourne as a VOIP/Video Technical Trainer/Engineer.

i guess the ovens were 30AMP instead of 3-phase then :)
