Stuck with this laptop which has to have everything reinstalled every month because of some annoying issue. I do all my work on there but its stuck on the desk because it heats up very very quickly and when it does, its very hot. So its not a laptop, more a desktop. if I had the tablet I'd be able to check emails and chat and stuff without wasting too much power, plus my mum could use it since my brother took over the family netbook, so it'd be a family thing I guess.

Usually I think Acer laptops as in the cheaper end with lower quality compared to other brands. This tablet however looks very well built and has good hardware, especially the tegra chip. Will be AMAZING to play with.

Looks awesome! This would replace my very old iPod Touch with something bigger, faster, and easier to surf the web on.

The last bit of kit I bought was a Nexus One for XT. Since then we have had a kid and are down to one income, unless huggies are giving away tablets with nappies I will never be allowed one. Plus it would be really cool.

I have a current gen iPod Touch and I'm looking for something with a larger screen!

At the moment, I've got this business model Acer Netbook. 4GB RAM, 250GB HDD, 64MB vid mem, 1.3GHz Intel CPU. I'm pretty stoked about protability so always looks for stuff that can be picked up and taken with me. The Acer Iconia really fits the bill there. The Iconia would supliment the netbook really well!

I will present it to my son so he won't ask for his turn on my one laptop. At the moment it asks for his turn after every few key strokes :)

Looking forward to it.

I currently have a Sony Vaio VPC-CB15 with 2nd gen Core i5 2410M Sandy Bridge, 8GB RAM, HM65 chipset, and 1080P 15.5" Screen.

The A500 would be handy, because a 15" laptop is too bulky to take with me a lot of times and places, so it would be great to have something more portable!

Cheers.

Currently using a Toshiba NB305. It is an excellent netbook but would love to give a tablet a try. Especially an Android variant.

My partner would love something more modern than this old Asus Z92a. which is ironic cause it is the "a" which has fallen off the 2nd keyboard it has had.

Am over notebooks. Bring on the android Tablet and the sexy Acer A500 (there is that "a" again)

I would use this to make others happy... Namely my mother, she's done so much for me so I'd be giving this to her, she's still using a laptop from 05, it's so slow and horrid.
Ohh my rig? I don't have a tablet per say so here's my comp setup!

My tablet, if you can call it a tablet (it has a touchscreen), is my 2005 Zaurus Akita. I am still using it daily to read e-books. The screen is very small and my Wi-Fi card does not work anymore. I have installed Ubuntu (Zubuntu) and the original Android on it but it is way too slow to do anything. So it is time for an upgrade.

Zaurus Akita

Cheers,

Bernard

Tablet PC is the way to go for me.  I would like just this sort of thing in the lounge so it doesn't take up too much room and doesn't have heaps of wires hanging off itTongue out and yet can do all the browsing my main PC can do with not the needed functionality
